The Prep Hoops Next Middle School Camp provided young basketball talents with opportunities to showcase their skills and compete against peers statewide.    Jahrrend Arnold played with impressive pace and control, utilizing his stop-and-go technique to keep defenders guessing. His hesitation moves, behind-the-back dribbles, and snatch-backs were highly effective in creating separation. With an explosive first step, he attacked his defender's hip, forcing them to open up and giving him a direct line to the basket. Once in the lane, Arnold's footwork stood out. He showed the ability to stop on a dime, pivot through defenders, and finish with finesse. His shooting mechanics were polished, as he smoothly hopped into his three-pointers off two feet, maintaining balance and elevation. Scoring within the flow of the game, Arnold found his opportunities naturally, excelling both as an on-ball creator and an off-ball scorer. Showcasing excellent composure, he has the wherewithal to cuff the ball or hop-step through traffic, using his strength and footwork to protect it before going up. In transition, Toombs wasted no time pushing the pace, often turning defensive rebounds into fast breaks and accelerating the game to his advantage. His head was always up, scanning the floor and reading the defense. As a playmaker, Toombs showed elite court vision and passing instincts. He wasn't just reacting to the defense, he manipulated it. His toughness and tenacity set him apart, proving he could make an impact against stronger competition. Offensively, Binion displayed patience and maturity, picking and choosing his spots wisely. He showed a smooth pull-up jumper and took advantage of defensive lapses without forcing the issue. His developing skillset and IQ were evident as his performance sowed significant upside as he continues to grow.     Wilson was the most productive prospect on the court, making his presence felt in every aspect of the game. His remarkable endurance and relentless energy allowed him to stay involved on both ends. Whether chasing down loose balls, fighting for rebounds, or creating second-chance opportunities, Wilson's motor never stopped. Off the ball, he excelled as a help defender, disrupting passing lanes and providing strong rotations. On offense, he found gaps in the defense as a floor spacer, making timely cuts to the rim and positioning himself for open looks from beyond the arc. In the mid-range, Jones showcased a reliable quick-release runner, particularly around the elbows. This move proved effective against both on-ball pressure and rotating help-side defenders. His touch and body control allowed him to get his shot off cleanly, even over taller contests. With his blend of confidence, quick decision-making, and scoring versatility, Jones was a constant threat whenever he had the ball in his hands.
