<p><strong>Playoff Central.</strong> Section 1A and Section 1AA are already at their quarterfinals which take place tonight at the Mayo Civic Center. Those games are tonight and are The Big Stage (below) tonight. </p>

<p>Five other sections of Class A basketball are playing games tonight. There are also three 8/9 games tonight in big school basketball matching Sartell against Elk River as well as Simley against Como Park, and Columbia Heights taking on Minneapolis Edison. </p>

<p><strong>Upset City</strong>. Edgerton knocking off RTR might be the upset of the playoffs this year. RTR beat Edgerton 82-54 and 65-48 this year in the two regular season games but in the playoffs, Edgerton won 64-61. No stats are out there but there are some photos of the Edgerton March celebration. </p>

<p><strong>The Big Stage.</strong> There is no better place to watch basketball come playoff time than the Mayo Civic Center/Mayo Civic Auditorium. Tonight the building will host four playoff games: two in the Civic Center and two in the Civic Auditorium. The Aduitorim has back to backs of Goodhue vs Schaeffer Academy and Blooming Prairie against Houston. Two very good games. And then down the hall there is Caledonia against La Crescent and Zumbrota-Mazeppa against Pine Island. A</p>

<p><strong>Top Performers</strong>. [player_tooltip player_id='2620244' first='Ryan' last='Schrupp'] of Renville County West had a 33 point, eight rebound and five assist game while 6'5 sophomore big John Driggs had a 24 point and 10 rebound double-double for RCW in a win over LQPV. </p>

<p>Gunner Liebl scored 20 while [player_tooltip player_id='1411178' first='Brayson' last='Boike'] had 18 points and 12 boards in the Dawson-Boyd 8-48 win over MACCRAY. Gunner is a talented junior guard that continues to play in a way that could make him an All State player as a senior and maybe as a junior. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2877054' first='Asher' last='Wieberdink'] scored 25 points with 15 rebounds for Central Minnesota Christian School who beat Lakeview. Asher is a 6'5 frontcourt sophomore that is a name that we have been monitoring this year. </p>

<p><strong>Tip of the Hat to the Career</strong>. [player_tooltip player_id='1617680' first='Alex' last='Munson'] of TMB is a 6'3 guard and [player_tooltip player_id='2104478' first='Trevor' last='Smith'] is a six foot guard and both are multi-time All Camden Conference players. TMB won 21 games this year but they were upset by Murray County Central who is an 18-game winner and a good team themselves. </p>
