Such elite balance and control as a driver, Carter makes moves like you'd expect a college guard to make. After a slow shooting first quarter from beyond the arc, Carter quickly found the range and knocked in a handful of key 3-pointers including one late in the third and another in the fourth to help secure the win. Ashland Blazer seems to make a March trip to Rupp arena a yearly tradition and Carter is looking to make one last run at the state title. Childers was getting the ball thrown to him in the post and using a variety of post moves to finish at the rim. With soft touch and the ability to either go up over his left shoulder or spin back and finish facing the basket, the undersized Ashland Blazer squad had no answer for him on the block. It was a gamble that didn't pay off as Clarke knocked down four first half 3-pointers and was the Tomcats most reliable offense in the halfcourt. Clarke would take his time and shoot with confidence and accuracy, an impressive achievement as Boyd Country was giving up those looks willingly. Clarke also ran the floor and had a sweet reverse layup and overall was engaged on both ends of the court. A scrappy player who did what he could to keep his team competitive for much longer than I think a lot expected after [player_tooltip player_id='1359133' first='Jacob' last='Spurlock'] had to leave the game in the first half.
