On Tuesday. March 4th I checked out the EIBC League Playoffs at the Phhacility in Phoenix and went back on Thursday for the Final-4.

There were 20+ teams from around the country plus teams from Canada.

Here were some of the local standouts from the 1st round of the playoffs

[player_tooltip player_id='1490241' first='Elijah' last='Summers-Livingston'] AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)

One of the stars of the opening round was Elijah. He scored it a variety of ways with post ups, quick rip thrus and he is elite in transition with tough contested layups or dunks above the rim. He will score thru the contact or finish off with alley-oop lob dunks. He will blocks shots at the top of the box and can time it perfectly to challenge or alter his opponent.

[player_tooltip player_id='2278688' first='Precious' last='Sam'] AZ Compass Prep

A huge post player with elite size who moves well from end to end. He holds his base well to make it hard to be pushed around in the paint to score on. He blocks shots easily with his size and length. He will score with hook shots, put backs or get to the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2144878' first='Jacob' last='Williford'] AZ Compass Prep

A scoring guard or point forward type who is a next level passer. He can score with off the dribble threes utilizing the pick and roll game and will dribble drive to the basket. He can burst into the lane and score with driving layups and will defend a couple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276245' first='Nizir' last='Cannady'] AZ Compass Prep

A quick on quick pure point guard. He is quick laterally to defend opposing point guards. He will outrace most defenders up the court with his sheer speed with the ball. He will thread the needle and dime his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198882' first='Kam' last='Robinson'] AZ Compass Prep

A pure point guard really sees the court well. The ball is on a string for him and he can go by his opponents with his burst to the basket plus smartly changes speeds well. He also is a ballhawk in the passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369219' first='Luke' last='Danielson'] AZ Compass Prep

A power forward can be a glass cleaner with his sturdy frame and works well inside the paint to score. He will rip thru and go baseline for a reverse layup and brings some energy off the bench.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323294' first='Will' last='Gordon'] AZ Compass Prep

A bigger sized combo guard will defend and score. He will score with hesitations and get to the basket and will get in the triple threat and jab step into a three. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and make a play. On defense he blocks shots and on one particular play he blocked a shot as he met a player at the rim impressively showing off his bounce and competitiveness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612509' first='Jalen' last='White'] Bella Vista Prep

A bigger size wing is an easy scorer with plus athleticism. He can rattle in threes off the catch, rip thru and finish off dunks way above the rim. He can create some offense but seems best off the catch. He rebounds well and runs the floor in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2800821' first='Nishayne' last='Sharpe'] Bella Vista Prep

A newcomer for me is a combo guard who plays a lot on or off the ball. He is the younger brother of the NBA player Shaedon Sharpe. He is very quick and he can hit the three off the catch. His first step gets him into the paint and he will make a play or score with a burst to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150825' first='Iyayi' last='Osunde'] Bella Vista Prep

An undersized defensive combo guard with very long arms and quicker feet. He plays the passing lanes to collect steals and will score with mid-range pull-ups off the dribble and bursts to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834650' first='Jelani' last='McKoy'] Bella Vista Prep

A long and lean combo guard with some twitch. He is very quick with the ball and on defensive to pester his opponents. He can score with the catch threes or get some points off the glass. He will lay it in after a steal and shows upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2564445' first='Isaac' last='Gonda'] Bella Vista Prep

One of the top face-up players in the class has a clean looking jumper from the three point line and from the elbow. He can rip thru and go to work with dunks and next level footwork. He utilizes his size combined with some ball fakes and patience to get it done.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150845' first='Quinn' last='Athanassoulis'] Bella Vista Prep

A highly skilled wing forward can play as a bigger two-guard but has the strength and some size to play as a bigger forward. He makes his money with his pretty looking shot. He can hit the three off the catch with ease and also pull-up from mid-range off the dribble. He rebounds well in his area and plays bigger then his size my suggest with some toughness.
