(1) Mankato East (27-1) vs (8) St. Paul Harding (18-10)

East had the one loss, beat Alexandria and pretty much proved to be the top team in the state since the calendar turned 2025, Harding is at state for the first time and it's awesome, but they have the worst record and get the eight seed.

(4) Orono (22-7) vs (5) DeLaSalle (23-5)

So this is the toughest part of this seeding. Orono gets the edge over De because they were able to beat BSM while De didn't, even though Orono lost to BSM more than De did. But Orono gets the edge in QRF based off the schedule as De had some pretty bad teams in the Tri-Metro which isn't their fault but we are nit picking here. De pry had the worst lost between the two too although even that "worst loss" is to a top ten Richfield team who they also beat this year. Plus De lost to Wayzata, Orono and TG beat the [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''], De lost to CDH by the most and all three teams (De, TG, and Orono) played CDH.

(3) Totino-Grace (22-5) vs (6) Byron (26-3)

TG and Orono have the same results against comparable good opponents (Houston TN, Wayzata and CDH). TG at first glance has the worst loss (Farmington) but that was when Farmington had their best player ([player_tooltip player_id='1575348' first='Cole' last='Wilcek']) and they were playing good so that is tough to compare. TG has the higher QRF than Orono because their schedule has more AAAA teams even though both play tough schedules. That and two less losses gives them the tiny edge. Byron is the very clear six seed, not much to say there.

(2) Alexandria (26-3) vs (7) Duluth Denfeld (20-9)

Alex has the second least amount of losses in the group, they beat Orono, they beat BSM, they played well when [player_tooltip player_id='1572690' first='Chase' last='Thompson'] was hurt (that is when they lost to top ten SRR), for me they are the easy two and Denfeld the easy seven. Denfeld has a nice scoring duo in [player_tooltip player_id='2104431' first='Marnaries' last='Ferguson'] (senior) and Carter Brow (sophomore).
