It's a massive night of high school hoops leading off with the big game between BSM and Orono. What are the big games and who wins them? We predict a bundle today!

3AAA Benilde-St Margaret's at 4AAA Orono

Prediction. The Red Knights won the first game 76-72. [player_tooltip player_id='1579885' first='Nolan' last='Groves'] had 45 points but the BSM balance was far better which gave them the edge. BSM has won four of the last five regular season games between these teams but Orono won the section game both seasons. In the previous game the Orono 4th and 5th starters as well as their bench looked over-matched. Will that be the case tonight? We think so.

BSM by three.

5AAA Totino-Grace at Park Center

Prediction. The TG motivation will be strong as PC beat them the last time around. That said, PC has won 12 of their last 14 games including ranked wins beating the Eagles and Anoka. The last contest was a one point game, this contest has been a recent rivalry that has got intense.

We say TG by three.

5AA Breck at 1AAA Mankato East

Prediction. Breck gets on the road to get a big test before the playoffs. East welcomes a talented team with athleticism to get them ready for the playoffs. It's a game that is less about spots within sections and conference, and more in preparation for what is to come in section and more likely, the state tournament.

Mankato East by nine.

7AAA DeLaSalle at 3AAAA Wayzata

Prediction. The Islanders are looking for a big win. They beat PC early in the year, and they had a nice holiday stretch beating Tonka and Richfield, but since that point they've not only lost all three games they played against ranked teams, the Islanders lost those game by double digits. Wayzata on the other hand is angry. They lost that debacle of a game to Hopkins but have since harshly beaten East Ridge and STMA, and won those games without [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'].

The prediction seems to be Wayzata by 11.

Eagan at 5AAAA Shakopee

Prediction. Shakopee is home. Shakopee has won a dozen games in a row, Eagan has lost five of their last seven. In the previous game a few weeks ago, Shako had shooters knocking down shots everywhere and they won 87-61 after getting up 23 points in the first half.

Shako by sixteen.

Mountain Iron-Buhl at 5A Deer River

Prediction. A pair of 20 win (or more) teams, MIB needs a big win and they might be facing the wrong team to get it. MIB will get some numbers but Deer River's backcourt is one of the best in Class A basketball. Deer River by 13.
