We are just within a week from arguably the best week of the Indiana High School Boys Basketball season with Sectional take place across the state. This week, both Brandon Ramsey and myself will give my in-depth previews of each Sectional however, I want to take a look at five players from each class that you need watch for to have strong showings. Here are five players from Class 2A to Watch.

The Knights of Fort Wayne Luers are looking to make a deep run in the Class 2A postseason and the guy that will be leading the charge is former Western Michigan commit [player_tooltip player_id='1749046' first='Drelyn' last='Truesdale']. One half of the electric Truesdale twins, Drelyn comes in during Sectional week as the leading scorer for Luers bringing in over 15.0 ppg. Drelyn is a one of the more well-rounded guards you will find in the state and he will show out in Sectional 36. The Knights will play Bluffton in the first round of Sectional 36.

One of the more consistent players we have seen in Class 2A over the recent years has been Manchester power forward and Grace signee [player_tooltip player_id='1297028' first='Gavin' last='Betten']. During his senior season, Betten has looked to have improved even more and has made a strong case all year as the best player overall in Class 2A. With his size and skill, Betten is one of the more versatile players you will see during Sectional week. The Squires kick off Sectional 38 play with a bye facing the winner of Rochester and Eastern (Greentown).

The Raiders of Wapahani came all so close to cutting down the nets in Indianapolis last season in the Class 2A State Championship game so you know they will be on a mission. Leading them into the post season is junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561131' first='Camden' last='Bell'], who has averaged over 18.0 ppg for them. He is a left-handed guard that score in a lot of ways and is arguably one of the more natural scorers we have in the in-state 2026 class. Wapahani will start Sectional 40 play vs Eastbrook in the first round.

Way up in Gary, Indiana is one of the top overall guard in Class 2A in 6'1 combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561080' first='Terrence' last='Hayes']. Hayes has had a breakout of a season for the Cougars this year with his nearly 21.0 ppg. Hayes can do a lot on the floor given his elite passing and scoring ability. He is going to be a name to watch over the next few years. Gary 21st has a Sectional 33 matchup with Gary Lighthouse in the first round.

Out of this watch list for Class 2A, the player that is a little under-the-radar is Forest Park forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140403' first='Kamdon' last='Partenheimer']. For the Rangers, he has had a breakout season as a player and quickly became their player with the most upside. At a true 6'8, Partenheimer can don a lot on the floor and is a real matchup nightmare at the Class 2A level. Forest Park has a Sectional 48 matchup vs South Spencer in the first round.
