Prep Hoops Indiana Sectional Preview – Class 3A South

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are just a week away from the beginning of the 115th Annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament. On Sunday evening we received brackets for the Sectional round as teams learned how their path to Gainbridge Fieldhouse would begin. We will spend the week here at Prep Hoops Indiana going in-depth across the state touching on all 64 Sectionals. I think it is safe to say in Sectional 30, it is going to be dog fight nearly every game. We start off with host Charlestown, who is 16-5 on the year, more than likely beating North Harrison but having to face reigning Class 2A State champ Brownstown in the semifinals. On the other side, we have an underrated clash between Silver Creek and Corydon with the winner facing a sneaky Madison team. On paper, all signs point to Silver Creek meeting Brownstown in the Sectional 30 Championship game on Saturday. If we get that game, it will be one of the top Sectional Championship games on the day. Every team in the Sectional is going to have a lot of work to do to get the championship game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Sectional</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In southern part of Class 3A, the under-the-radar Sectional here is going to be Sectional 29. Honestly, you could really just flip a coin here because honestly any team could come out of this one. Top end of the bracket sees a heated rivalry of Greensburg and Batesville facing off with the winner going against Jennings County, who has the best player in this Sectional in senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1296996' first='Carter' last='Kent']. On the bottom side of the bracket, we get Franklin County and host South Dearborn facing off with the winner meeting Lawrenceburg in the semifinals. Although Jennings County is just 9-13 on the year, they do hold the advantage of saying they are 3-0 against Sectional 29 foes.
