NEBL 2/1 2025 Guards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was a four game event at CATS Academy in Braintree, MA. I attended the first two and a half games and could have seen other great guards as well but here are a few 2025 guards that played well. Guard play is important in the New England Basketball League. All of these guards show tremendous qualities on why they play at a high level high school league and on their team. His handles are fantastic like the ball is on a string. Another aspect of his dribbling is how strong he is with the rock, as he makes defenders look foolish trying to steal the ball. A very accurate passer even with one hand hitting people in the box and leading teammates when in transition. He can score from anywhere on the floor and had a sweet step back jumper from deep. A great mid-range game and even demonstrated those qualities with a nice fadeaway step back 18-footer. He is in the top 6 rotation for South Kent and I think can continue contributing in the top rotation next year for a program. A real shifty, quick guard who can beat you off the dribble. A great help as a defender understanding team defense rotations. Quick off the dribble getting downhill exploding by defenders. He can make the pass needed to find the open man and shoot from downtown. A tough player finishing through contact and getting knocked down. Great leader huddling the team up and communicating strategies to teammates. A scorer from ease anywhere on the floor and handles are off the charts.
