`Last night, I watched #12 Higley take on #21 Mountain Pointe in the first round of the Open Playoffs. Higley came out strong, dominating early, but by halftime, the game had tightened as Mountain Pointe battled back to cut the lead to single digits. Despite the push, Higley held firm, weathering the comeback attempt and securing a 68-54 victory to advance.    He came out firing, getting downhill with ease and finishing everything at the rim. Despite Mountain Pointe throwing multiple defenders at him, he stayed poised, took care of the ball, and controlled the offense. Adding to his dominant performance, he knocked down a couple of deep threes, making it even tougher for Mountain Pointe to close the gap. He finished the game with 26 points, capping off a standout performance.     He dominated the paint from start to finish, proving to be unstoppable inside. Mountain Pointe tried throwing different defenders at him, but he was simply too big and strong, overpowering them with ease. While he did most of his damage in the paint, he also mixed in some smooth mid-range jumpers to keep the defense guessing. In transition, he was a force—bulldozing his way to the rim and finishing through contact. On top of his scoring, he controlled the boards, making a significant impact on both ends of the floor     He was a dominant presence in the paint, protecting the rim effectively and making it difficult for opponents to finish inside. His size and strength were simply too much to handle, allowing him to control the interior on both ends of the floor.     An early sub off the bench, he made an immediate impact with his defensive intensity. He finished the game with 16 points, all coming from inside the paint.       He showcased a strong mid-range game against Higley, knocking down shots consistently throughout the night. What stood out most was his defensive ability—moving his feet well and making an impact on that end of the floor. As a freshman, he fearlessly took on the challenge of guarding 94 feet, making life difficult for opposing ball handlers all night. His defensive intensity played a crucial role in his team's comeback attempt, as he consistently disrupted the offense and brought energy to his team. His impact on that end of the floor was undeniable.     Coming off the bench, he provided an instant spark for his team. He wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, knocking down a couple of quick mid-range pull-ups over taller defenders. His ability to create his own shot gave the offense a much-needed boost.
