Circle 7 Ranch Tournament 2027 Standouts

Prep Hoops Missouri spent a night watching the action at the Circle 7 Ranch Tournament at Parkway West last week. Battle defeated Hazelwood East to win the championship while SLUH defeated Wentzville Liberty in the third place game. We were on the house for the semifinal games, plus a consolation game between host Parkway West and Lutheran-St. Charles. Here is a look at a talented group of 2027 prospects that caught our attention on that night.    A 6'0" point guard who had an excellent week in helping the Spartans to the tournament championship. He is a smooth playmaker with an excellent feel for the game along with three level scoring ability. He was breaking down defenders off the dribble to create shots while always moving at his own pace. He was very hard to speed up. His fundamentals are very good and he can also play with a little flair in his game.     The 6'10" forward is one of the top prospects in the Class of 2027 with his combination of size and skill level. He is a versatile young big who displayed his ability to knock down jump shots while also scoring in the paint. He is also very fluid in his movements and he runs the court very very well.     The 6'3" shooting guard had a nice performance against Wentzville Liberty with a team-high 14 points. He is a smooth offensive player with a good feel for the game. He is an excellent 3-point shooter, but on this night, it was his passing that was on point. He displayed some very good court vision as he sprayed the ball all around the court to open teammates from a variety of angles.     The 6'2" shooting guard is a dynamic player with excellent athleticism and a strong motor. He is an impressive player in the open court. He threw down a pair of impressive dunks in the Cougars victory over host Parkway West. He was constantly touching the paint with his driving ability and he could also pull up and hit the mid-range jumper.     The 5'11" combo guard is a high energy who was constantly attacking the basket on slashing drives, whether it was in the halfcourt or in the transition game. He was also in constant motion with his cutting off the ball, which led to layups. He was always putting pressure on the defense with his activity. He also hit an open 3-pointer off the catch.     A 5'11" point guard who was very impressive the Cougars victory over Parkway West. It was my first time seeing the young lefty in action and he did a very nice job in the second half when the Cougars rallied for the win. He hit a big 3-pointer from the corner down the stretch. He has solid handles and he was maneuvering his way through traffic very effectively in the lane.     A 6'5" wing player who has excellent positional size and length along with a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range. He can also attack the close out with a tough drive into the lane where he could either score or draw the foul. He's very skilled and he has a pretty nice upside.
