Waubonsie Valley Duo Shows Out to Stay Undefeated

This was a good test for Waubonsie Valley who came in with a 20-0 record. They would get a solid Stevenson squad that has college talent on their team. The Patriots stayed with Waubonise Valley for most of the game before a burst in the second half that gave them the margin they needed as Waubonsie Valley would go on to win 59-48 staying perfect on the season.

It was a dominant performance by their dynamic 1-2 senior duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2326960' first='Tyreek' last='Coleman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2326966' first='Moses' last='Wilson']. Coleman is an Illinois State commit that is elite with the ball in his hands. He blows past defenders with consistency making it look like they are standing still. Wins consistently on straight line takes. Tremendous body control at the rim along with shifty handles and soft touch finishes in the paint. Really knows how to manipulate a ball screen. His passing might have even been more impressive in this game as he was absolutely lethal finding teammates particularly Wilson for threes and dunks. Coleman had 21 points in the win. For Wilson he is among the top uncommitted prospects in the senior class. The top 20 prospect is a face up four that can really shoot it off the catch from three along with being fluid pulling up from mid-range. He finishes with explosiveness with his dunks and was a force defensively with his length all over the floor as he had 23 points. Low-majors and D2+ programs should be on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1964163' first='Donovan' last='Williams'] had a big game for Stevenson as the 2026 6'0” shooting guard got off to a hot start in the first half for the Patriots with his slick ball handling scoring on sweeping drives and slithery takes along with banging in a pair of threes for 12 points. Senior post [player_tooltip player_id='1440697' first='Atticus' last='Richmond'] got off to a bit of a slow start, but as the game went on he started doing work around the basket getting on the offensive glass, nifty finishes, and making quick moves with the ball in the paint. Solid area rebounder that can pass a little. D2s should take a look, but it sounds like he will go prep for a year. Went for 17 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2442139' first='Liam' last='Curtin'] is a good small college gem that has a nice right handed hook shot at 6'6” along with playing with a ton of toughness notching 9 points.

Normal Community Scores Comeback Win Over Downers Grove North

When the game was on the line the high end prospects stepped up for Normal Community as they scored a 48-40 win over Downers Grove North despite being down through the first three quarters of the game. Central Michigan commit [player_tooltip player_id='2105203' first='Kobe' last='Walker'] asserted himself in the second half after a slow start to the game by using his massive frame to carve out space inside on seals where he used great footwork and touch scoring. Also asserted himself on the glass for second chance points for himself and his teammates. Early on he was an intimidating force blocking several shots while finishing with 11 points. Their young wings also stepped up in the second half. Class of 2027 small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2125642' first='Jarrel' last='Brown'] is one of the more skilled upside wings in the sophomore class and he showed why in this one. Feathery three point shot off the catch, flashed to the middle of the lane for a step back, and got to the line. Also defensively he used his length while scoring 7 points. Class of 2028 small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2542412' first='Chase' last='Kasten'] is a big wing with long arms and good strength. He is a very good rebounder that secured an array of tough defensive boards in the paint. Offensively he finished dump offs, jump stop into a mid-range jumper, along with banging in a corner three off the catch for 7 points as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1598674' first='Conner' last='Smith'] was a solid guard for Normal in this one going for 8 points including a pair of threes. [player_tooltip player_id='2823571' first='Trey' last='Birditt'] deserves a lot of credit for this win. The 2026 point guard kept his team in the game early with his scoring on nifty drives netting 9 points and sliced up the defense with his passing in the second half.

For DGN it was their senior forward duo again that led the way. [player_tooltip player_id='2217947' first='Bobby' last='Grganto'] is a 6'6” skilled and tough four that should be a priority for small colleges. He is a plus shooter off the catch along with in pick/pop situations. He finishes out of the dunker spot and is a solid passer. Touch and toughness around the hoop scoring as he had 18 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2415414' first='Nolan' last='Hurter'] is a plus shooter on the wing that has good positional size. Clean release from distance along with good athleticism as he knocked in a trio from deep for 11 points.
