Weston vs. Wayland: Stars of the Game

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>12/20/24 Wayland, MA (Wayland High School Field House): This was a Dual County League matchup between these two teams. Weston came in 1-1 on the season only losing by five points to a very good Waltham team to start the season. Wayland opened up their season with a 19-point win over Diman Tech. This was a fast-paced and physical game with not many turnovers. Weston won 62-59 even after missing a few key free throws in the final seconds of the game leading to a decent game tying look at the end by Wayland's Ido Geffen. Weston played three underclassmen while Wayland played seven so I will definitely be back in the future to see the development of those individuals. Great understanding when to push the ball and when to slow/settle the pace down. He is a strong player but plays with balance when driving to the rim. Has the ability to shoot the three ball and with good footwork especially on flare screens. A great communicator on the defense side of the ball. He got hot from deep down the stretch hitting three from behind the arc. A great strong passer with fast ball like accurate passes. He had a nice fake spin turnaround mid-range shot in the game. Knocks his free throws down with great rotation. Great dribbler with a variety of moves while in transition offense.
