Old Redford visited Summit Academy last night for a much anticipated matchup. Summit Academy came out firing on all cylinders on both ends of the floor. Offensively, they controlled the pace throughout. Defensively, they hustled back giving no transition opportunities and rotated and helped smoothly providing no open lanes to attack. Old Redford tried to make a couple runs, but in the end, it was Summit Academy's night. They won by a score of 59-33.

We are going to take a look at some evaluations of prospects in this game last night.

Remember how we mentioned controlling the pace above? It all started with this guy. Perryman was comfortable and effective the entire game. Let's start with ball pressure. When he was pressured , he smoothly dribbled through it with so much poise and control. Perryman was really comfortable working left to right and was able to shake defenders with his handles as well as use blow by speed to get to the rim and score. He scored from multiple levels, including a tough step back baseline jumper. Perryman was just so smart and so unselfish with the ball.

Wilson is a high level guard prospect. He's a fast footed guard with solid handles. He was comfortable playing as the primary ball handler and looked to create for himself and his teammates. Wilson showed a knack for creating contact, playing through it, and drawing fouls.

This young man flat out showed up to play. Ignore the number next to his name because that will be changing shortly. He set the tone early with his work on the defensive end, including playing D with his feet. Some of the better defensive footwork that I've seen so far this season. Houser showed that he could score basically from anywhere. He opened it up with a pull up mid range jumper from the wing. He had multiple catch and shoot 3's and finished in transition.

Brown is a solid wing that has a chance to make a lot of noise over the next few years. It was all about his strength and power last night. Brown was able to stand his ground physically on D and cut off a dribble drive that ultimately led to a turnover. On multiple possessions, he used power moves under the rim going up through defenders to get buckets.

Ashwood brought it early on the defensive end, applying pressure at half court and creating a turnover. He was really a hustle player throughout, even chasing down a rebound off his own shot and taking it to the rim for a bucket. Ashwood showed that he was willing and shoot as well with a mid range jumper and drawing a foul on a 3 point attempt.

Stennis didn't put up huge Stennis like numbers. but it was still really easy to see what all the fuss is about with this talented young man. I liked his willingness to be a versatile forward. When the situation called for it, he posted up and worked with his back to the basket. Then when the situation called for it, he took a perimeter feed and worked facing the rim. Stennis showed a pretty spin move that will give a lot of opponents a lot of issues.

Fuller definitely passed the eye test in the win last night. He was unselfish with the ball and willing to move it to a teammate or swing it along the perimeter. Fuller definitely showcased his skills. He had an impressive ball fake and corner 3 early in the game. That ball fake can be a real tool for him.

Campbell's energy played a big role in Summit Academy's success last night. A great example of this was when he got matched up defensively with Stennis and gave up about a half a foot. During this matchup, Campbell worked really hard and played really tough D. It was impressive. He showed that he can attack the rim off the ball when he took a dish in mid range and finished with a layup.
