Expert Analysis

Houser was a breakout player to say the least last high school season. His strength and athleticism create a lot of issues for his opponents. Houser has good feet that allow him to attack from so many different places on the floor. He has a nice jumper that he can utilize from mid range and behind the arc, all while being active on the glass.

Houser was so impressive this past high school season and he’s continued that great play this spring with The Family . Houser was a matchup nightmare this winter and has been the same during grassroots ball. He’s contributed on the EYBL in a variety of fashions. Houser has show that he can score, board and defend against elite competition.

Houser was a force throughout the playoffs. His combination of size, strength and ball skills was a mismatch in every round of the playoffs. He’s a player to watch this summer.

I’ve been preaching about Houser and his influence in the playoff since they started. He continued to shine at the Final 4. Houser finished the last 2 games averaging 14 ppg and 6.5 rpg.

The ability to keep the ball high and out of reach from pesky smaller guards is a must for any forward playing down low, and Chance excels at it. Houser uses his length and athleticism to play above the rim, whether it’s tip-ins, dunks, or blocked shots on the other end.

I mentioned Perryman above, who’s obviously critical in this matchup. But I’ve been saying it since the start of the playoffs – Teams are going to have a really tough time matching up against Houser. He’s made me look way smarter than I am during his team’s playoff run so far, because nobody has really had an answer yet. His size, strength and skill combo has frustrated everybody.

This is the second time I’ve seen Summit Academy this season and Houser has made a believer out of me. He earned very high percentage looks at the rim, from a layup off an inbound play to multiple put backs. His highlight reel play may have been a steal at half court that he took to the rim for a dunk finish.

When I watched Houser play earlier this season, he was beyond good. He played big on defense and was efficient with a versatile attack on offense. If he plays the way I saw him play, a Houser and

A really intriguing prospect out of Michigan, Houser has a lot of things you’d look for in a wing forward. For starters he has an excellent frame and is an impressive athlete. Defensively he made plays by flying around the court using his long wingspan and athleticism. On the offensive end Houser wanted to get to his left hand downhill and either score at the rim as a driver or roll man in the pick and roll. Finally, House knocked down a couple jumpers as well. I expect Houser to be a name GLIAC and regional Division I coaches get very familiar with this summer.

I just saw Houser play less than a week before writing this, and I’m going to be blatantly honest with you……He was OUTSTANDING. And that was in a game with Old Redford and hence a gym that was overflowing with high level talent. Houser was the best rebounder in the gym and at the very least one of the top next level frames in the gym.
