The first game we caught returning back to the Pee Dee today as Andrew Jackson HS vs Trinity Collegiate.

This game went down to the wire with each team leading at one time or another throughout the game. Both teams led by as much as 11 points in this game before battling back. The score was 29-29 at the halftime break. The Volunteers would lead the Titans 46-42 at the end of the 3rd quarter. [player_tooltip player_id='2746118' first='Damias' last='Seegars'] connected on layup with 6.0 seconds left to give the Volunteers the lead at 60-59. The Volunteers prevailed in the end with a 62-59 win over the Titans.

Senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1630005' first='Bryce' last='Peterson'] led the Volunteers with 18 points and 4 assists today. He was able to connect on (8-11) from the foul line. Bryce was able to drop a few floaters and short jumpers in the lane today. Damias Seegers a left-handed junior guard finished with 15 points. Seegers really showed good body control at times on the way to the rack while absorbing contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1487224' first='Zeke' last='Clyburn'] finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds while finishing with his left-hand around the bucket. Zeke came up big down the stretch with some buckets for the Volunteers.

Trinity Collegiate a SCISA Class 4A program had a trio of players score in double digits. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2354712' first='Evan' last='Williams'] finished with 16 points in the game. Williams can really create his own shot on the floor while taking some tough ones in the process. Evan finished the night (4-5) from behind the three-point line.

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1444326' first='Landon' last='Wilson'] is an undersized guard who really looks to score the rock. Wilson finished with 14 points. Wilson likes to play fast up and down the court with the ball in his hands. [player_tooltip player_id='2614011' first='Kiauj' last='Allen'] a junior forward played last season at nearby Lee Central HS. Allen finished with 11 points in the loss. Kiauj plays well around the paint area and seems to be a bit of a tweener on the floor with his play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2354724' first='Jy'ell' last='Preston'] a junior forward recorded 9 points and 10 rebounds tonight. Allen really plays the game with a good motor and some quick footwork. He does a good job of boxing out and running down loose balls. Preston is very quick off the floor and does his best work close to the basket. He was able to step out and connect on the short 6–8-foot jumper.

Swamp Foxes Edge Lions:

The nightcap featured the host Marion HS Swamp Foxes vs the Loris HS Lions. Wow this game went down to the wire also here today at the King's Klassic.

The Swamp Foxes led 26-25 led at the halftime break. Inside a minute Marion led 65-63 with 41.4 left in the game. Loris HS tied it up with 13.3 left at 67-67. Marion HS would end up winning the contest in the nightcap of the King's Klassic 69-67.

The Swamp Foxes received strong play from [player_tooltip player_id='2406367' first='Jameir' last='Legette'] a senior guard tonight. Legette finished with 20 points while scoring all but 2 of his points on 2-point goals. Jameir was extremely efficient around the bucket going to the basket. He delivered on putbacks and slashing to the bucket for points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645097' first='Jaden' last='Gerald'] really had a strong showing in the second half going to the basket and overpowering defenders. Jaden was able to post up smaller defenders at times today while finishing around the bucket. He scored 14 points in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2307830' first='Charles' last='White Jr'] did a little bit of everything for the Swamp Foxes here today. Charles is a long and rangy guard-wing for the Swamp Foxes. He was taking care of some of the point guard responsibilities at times today. Charles played really well in passing lanes while be active on both ends of the court. He constantly played around the ball on his way to scoring 13 points.

The unsung hero at times today for the Swamp Foxes was senior guard Irenaeus Gurley. Gurley finished the night with 11 points but was able to connect on 3 long range shots for the Swamp Foxes.

The Lions received strong play from junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2746116' first='Nigel' last='Miller']. Miller a new name for the database that's for sure finished with 23 points. Nigel connected on 4 three-pointers and some floaters to go along with some pullup jumpers tonight. Miller a junior for the Lions is very confident shooter on the floor.

Jacobien Lewis plays football for the Lions in the fall. Lewis a Wide Receiver/Defensive Back doesn't seem to be a bad basketball player at all. Jacobien brings a lot of athleticism and work ethic to the floor. Lewis a left-handed junior forward was able to finish drives on the way to the bucket. He was able to stalk the baseline at times for some good looks. Lewis finished the night with 14 points for the Lions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2629575' first='Tyler' last='Brown'] really likes to set up shop out in the corners with his game. Tyler is catch-shoot guy who shoots the ball at a very good clip. Brown finished with 13 points tonight.

The Lions will be a tough matchup at times with their lineup they can put on the floor for Head Coach Andrew Eads. They started off the season slow with the football team making a deep run into the playoffs. The Lions play in Class 3A.

The King's Klassic is in the books for the season.
