10p 9a 4r 1s 1b vs Ryken

-Got to the rim repeatedly in a win over Ryken, using a strong frame to bully his matchup to get to his spots to either create for others or score in the paint. Had a great stretch in the 1H where he got the helper to commit before dropping off the dime to his big for the dunk, pinned a chase down block off the glass, and after he grabbed a rebound--he threw a beautiful baseball pass over the top in transition to a streaking teammate at the opposite FT line for the lay. Golatt's bounce stood out throughout the game as a dynamic athlete that can guard up a position or two while also finishing above the rim. Almost put the finishing touches on an efficient double-double with a great 2-handed push pass to the big diagonally from the slot to the block for the inside hand finish. Has the makings of a stock-riser in our next update

-One of the best forwards that we saw in this event, Anagbogu stood out right away with a bullet pass to a big in what was supposed to be a DHO from the top of the key. He scored on a backdoor cut for the lob finish, rotated great defensively as a shot-blocker in this one, uses his size to impact things on the perimeter, had a great face cut for the off balance lay off glass, blocked two 3s on close-outs that started in the paint, showed great touch on an entry feed assist over the top to his teammate for the AND1 lay, had a great weakside rotation for the block, and executed a smooth fastbreak lay without putting it on the floor in transition late in the game. Anagbogu is a player willing to do the dirty work as a rebounder, serves as a physical but switchable defender for Flowers, shows great anticipation and timing on shot blocks all over the floor, and plays with a motor-- sprinting the floor both offensively and defensively in transition to make plays for his team. Really intriguing player to watch.

Shot 40% from 3 on the day, giving his team a boost in the 1H to cut the lead to as little at 2. Cage moves well off the ball to free himself up for open looks and is learning to mix in backdoor cuts to keep the defense honest when he gets a pindown screen. Cage knocked down three triples off of movement to space the floor for his drivers in the 1H. He then baited the defense nicely to draw a foul on a 3 late in the first corner to earn a trip to the line and make it a 2-possession game for the Hawks. If he can continue to make strides on the defensive end of the floor, he can be a sneaky good pickup late.

-Smooth handle allowed him to get to his spots throughout the game in a big matchup with Flowers. Lewis used his size and craftiness to split double teams/hard hedges to get downhill to the rim throughout the night, scoring well at the rim as well as on midrange jumpers. Liked Lewis' effort on the defensive end, serving as a disruptive force both on and off the ball to nab three steals throughout the game while staying out of foul trouble.

-Hargrove turned down perimeter jumpers repeatedly throughout the game to get all the way to the rim or to score on push shots or floaters in the paint. His scoring versatility was on display throughout the evening, scoring on a leaner off glass, curling into a midrange J, executing a smooth backdoor cut for the layup, and finishing with two hands above the rim. Would like to see him really ramp up the skill development down the stretch of his senior year to add a tighter handle to allow him to navigate through tighter gaps in the defense and take full advantage of his burst/size/athleticism. But he's always a difference-maker for a gritty Wise team.
