Efficiency was the name of the game for Price who shot 8/10 from the field for the winning Wayne Warriors who knocked off Garfield Heights who was previously unbeaten. His teammates did a nice job of finding him when he was open as Price knocked down all of his 3-pointers in the first half. Scoring 11 of the first 13 points for his team, Price had a couple moves off the dribble including a pull-up mid-range and a coast to coast and-1 layup. Putting pressure on the rim, Price tied for the game lead with five free throw attempts. Playing 29 minutes at guard and only having one turnover against a swarming Garfield Heights defense also stood out as Price made quality decisions with the ball in his hands.

The top ranked player in West Virginia had a big game to help Huntington Prep take down Lutheran East. Hawthorne started the game with a 3-pointer off a BLOB and had an early slam dunk off an alley-oop. Combine that with a couple tough 3-pointers from the top of the key and a few follow up dunks on putbacks and offensive rebounds and Hawthorne was impacting the game at the rim and beyond the arc. His best pass came on a dribble drive and drop off which led to one of Hawthorne's four assists, which tied a team lead. It'll be interesting to track Hawthorne throughout his college career, he had mostly mid-major interest before the lone high major program in his home state came calling. He certainly has the upside to make an impact down the (country) roads in his career.

A shocking upset by Brunswick where only three players scored saw the Blue Devils knock off a Texas powerhouse. Despite the loss, King Grace was impactful for all 32 minutes he was on the court. A natural scorer from the wing guard position, Grace can attack closeouts and play above the rim with elite athletic ability. Despite a funky looking jumper, Grace knocked down four of his 10 3-point shots including some big ones late that kept the game within reach. Physically, he looks like an SEC prospect with his run and jump ability.

Olentangy Orange gave CIA Bella Vista all they could handle with a 32 minute war that featured neither team generating much of an advantage all game long. Appiah made key shots when he was left open and had a sweet lefty drive and finish against full court pressure. A high academic prospect who makes smart plays on the court, Appiah also took care of the basketball with just one turnover. The Pioneers continue to impress with neither of their losses coming to in-state competition, they still remain one of the favorites to win it all come March.

Honestly thought Saturday night against Louisville was the best I've seen Greer play for Kettering Alter. In the fourth quarter, Greer started taking over as a scorer with some tough off movement 3-pointers and a few isolation buckets to give his team the lead. Greer generated so much defensive attention and he was able to lead the game with four assists by hitting his bigs on the roll when two guys came swarming out to him. College programs are always searching for elite shooters and Greer certainly fits that category, we'll see if it can get him on the court early in his college career.

A miracle shot at the buzzer by Aljancic sent the game to overtime where he made a couple key plays including a baseline finish and a putback layup. Throw in a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter and Aljancic had some big time moments in crunch time for the Leopards as they secured one of the biggest wins in program history. Aljancic is a multi-sport star for the Leopards and is continuing to improve as a basketball player. His older brother Will is starring for top 10 ranked Division II program Findlay right now and with Tate's diverse athletic background and high academic abilities, he should have options to continue his athletic career, whether it's on the hardwood or elsewhere.
