Cason has shined in his new role with the Mustangs, and his outburst against the Dutch was his latest glowing performance, scoring a school-record 42 points on just 17 shot attempts. A skilled shooter who plays under control and doesn't force anything, he was fantastic against Pella in delivering a big-time Little Hawkeye Conference win.

2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1587303' first='Desmon' last='Campbell'] (Des Moines Lincoln) -- 32 points (10-22 FG, 3-9 3P, 9-9 FT), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals [vs. Urbandale]

A quick, athletic 6-1 guard who loves to attack the rim, Campbell was really good against the J-Hawks in a loss, getting to the bucket and the free-throw line routinely. He puts constant pressure on opposing defenses with his athleticism and handles.

2025 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1951797' first='Trae' last='Brown'] (Ottumwa) -- 30 points (11-16 FG, 3-4 3P, 5-7 FT), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal [vs. Oskaloosa]

A strong, physical wing who scores from all three levels at an efficient clip, Brown is a big-time scorer who can completely control the game on the offensive end with his vision, handles, shooting, and toughness.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1765505' first='Parker' last='Berns'] (Waterloo West) -- 29 points (11-22 FG, 1-6 3P, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals [vs. Liberty]

Perns is enjoying a breakout junior year for the Wahawks, leading the team in scoring, and his showing against the Lightning was the latest in a run of great games from the 6-2 guard. He's an intelligent guard who knows how to get to his spots, and he's an athletic, quick defender. His work on the glass in this one was a pleasant surprise.

2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2617492' first='Da'Shaundis' last='Moore'] (Waterloo East) -- 28 points (9-16 FG, 1-5 3P, 9-13 FT), 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals [vs. Des Moines East]

Another athletic guard from Waterloo, Moore also posted an impressive double-double out of his backcourt spot last week. He puts constant pressure on opposing defenses with his handles and toughness.

2025 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1951794' first='Elias' last='Vargas'] (Davenport Central) -- 25 points (7-16 FG, 5-9 3P, 6-7 FT), 2 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals [vs. Bettendorf]

The Blue Devils have been unexpectedly good this season, posting an 11-2 record to date, and Vargas has been a big reason why. A quick, smart guard with great handles, he has fantastic vision and does a great job getting into the teeth of the defense and either scoring over defenders or finding open teammates for good looks. He was in complete control on the offensive end against the always tough Bulldogs.

2025 C [player_tooltip player_id='1759895' first='Trevin' last='Jirak'] (Valley) -- 22 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3P, 7-9 FT), 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks [vs. Waukee Northwest]

Having a 6-9/6-10 player with the elite vision and passing instincts that Jirak has is one of the biggest weapons a team can have, and that advantage was on full display against Northwest in a top-3 showdown as he nearly posted a triple-double. Having the ability to play through your big man and run the offense through him makes the Tigers offensive attack incredibly dangerous.

2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1439900' first='Remi' last='Taylor'] (Roosevelt) -- 19 points (6-13 FG, 1-2 3P, 6-9 FT), 14 rebounds, 4 assists [vs. Mason City]

Taylor has good size on the perimeter at 6-5, and he uses his size to his advantage on the offensive end, as he did against Mason City. He can finish through contact, control the glass on both ends, and he sees over the defense well.
