2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1288917' first='Ben' last='Helmers'] (Algona) -- 51 points (22-32 FG, 7-12 FT), 9 rebounds (7 offensive), 1 assist, 2 steals [vs. Pocahontas Area]

Helmers has always been one of the elite scorers in the 2025 class, but this was his best game of his career. He does a great job using his quickness and athleticism to play downhill and attack the rim or get to the free-throw line, and he uses his athleticism to compete on the glass, especially on the offensive end.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1978144' first='Zander' last='Murray'] (Xavier) -- 33 points (12-17 FG, 6-10 3P, 3-4 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal [vs. Wahlert Catholic]

A sharpshooting guard who shoots it really well off the catch, Murray had his best showing as a high schooler against the Golden Eagles, knocking down six 3-pointers and using the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his game.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2120763' first='Jack' last='McGuire'] (Pella) -- 26 points (12-16 FG, 2-2 FT), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal [vs. Des Moines Christian]

Pella got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but the Dutch are playing high-level basketball now, and McGuire, a skilled 6-4/6-5 wing, is one of the biggest reasons why. He was great against the Lions, getting to the rim off the dribble or off of good off-ball movement routinely.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2886875' first='Jacoby' last='Johnson'] (Vinton-Shellsburg) -- 26 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3P, 10-12 FT), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals [vs. Benton]

A 6-3 off-ball guard with good size, Johnson had a great game against Benton, scoring efficiently from all three levels, getting to the line a ton, and creating quality looks off the dribble.

2025 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1759901' first='Seaton' last='Ingram'] (Des Moines Christian) -- 25 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3P, 7-12 FT), 7 rebounds [vs. Pella]

A long, athletic wing on the other side of the game that [player_tooltip player_id='2120763' first='Jack' last='McGuire'] put up, Ingram was really good against the Dutch. He uses his size and athleticism to his advantage on both ends of the floor, getting to the rim and finishing through contact.

2025 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1381416' first='Thomas' last='Meyer'] (Clear Lake) -- 24 points (9-12 FG, 6-9 FT), 11 rebounds [vs. Algona]

The future Iowa tight end is a dominant interior presence for the top-ranked Lions, controlling the glass and finishing at a high clip around the rim, as he did against Algona last week.

2025 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1523401' first='Ahman' last='Langton'] (MOC-Floyd Valley) -- 23 points (10-12 FG, 2-4 3P, 1-2 FT), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals [vs. Sioux Center]

A quick guard who puts constant pressure on opposing defenses with his speed, ball-handling, and vision, Langton put together a great two-way game against Sioux Center, showing that he can get to the rim off the dribble and impact the game defensively.

2027 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2419750' first='Parker' last='Miller'] (Ballard) -- 23 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3P, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals [vs. Boone]

The 6-4 combo forward is really starting to come into his own as a sophomore for the Bombers, contributing in a big way as a rebounder and interior scorer. His length and athleticism allow him to provide some real versatility on the defensive end as well.
