The Bossier Invitational brought together top teams from the I-20 corridor, spanning from Monroe to Shreveport, as well as a Houston prep school squad, in a thrilling round-robin event to determine the area's top team. Over the course of three days, the event culminated in an exciting championship showdown between Bossier and Calvary, while the consolation bracket saw Good Vision Prep face off against Captain Shreve.   Throughout the tournament, several players stood out with impressive performances, making a significant impact on their teams. His most notable performance came in the Championship game, where he recorded his first career triple-double — a testament to his all-around game and unselfish mentality.   He is the embodiment of Louisiana Hoops: tough, skilled, fearless, and always willing to put the team first. For Division l coaches, Jamison is a dream recruit. His combination of basketball IQ, leadership, and versatility makes him a must-have for any program.   I have referred to him as “The Boogeyman”, simply because Jamison strikes fear into opponents every time he steps on the court, and it's clear that there will be no shortage of suitors fighting to land him.     Parker: A Future Star Lighting Up the Bossier Invitational   Parker is firmly on every scout's “one to watch” list, and it's easy to see why when you watch him play. As one of the most skilled young players in the state, he has the ability to dominate on the offensive end at any given moment. In a standout performance against Booker T. Washington, Parker erupted for 30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals — all as a sophomore.   With every offensive weapon in his arsenal, Parker's versatility and skill set are always on full display. Whether it's scoring from deep, finishing at the rim, or creating for others, he has it all. Known as a gym rat, he's constantly refining his game, and it's clear that the sky is the limit for this talented player.   The Bossier Invitational was his stage, and he certainly didn't disappoint, putting on a performance that solidified his place among the top players in his class. As his game continues to develop, expect Parker to become one of the most sought-after prospects in Louisiana.     J-Money: A Rising Star with Unlimited Potential   For some, this may have been an introduction to J-Money, but it won't be long before his name is known statewide and beyond. Serving as point guard, J-Money possesses the skills of a two-guard, making him a unique and dynamic threat on the court. He's already considered one of the best defenders in the state, but now his reputation as one of the top shooters is starting to gain attention.   In a standout performance, Hall led Calvary with 7 three-pointers in just three quarters of play against the defensively formidable Captain Shreve team. His ability to stretch the floor and score efficiently from deep makes him a key asset for his team, and his all-around game continues to improve.   Hall is a special talent with the tools to become a nationally recognized player. As his role with Calvary continues to expand, there's no doubt he'll rise to the occasion. Dean Woods: The Star Who Led Bossier's Biggest Upset set to Shine Bright at Xavier   Dean Woods was a standout performer at the event, leading Bossier to what was arguably the biggest upset of the tournament. In a game where many believed Bossier was outmatched, Woods stepped up and scored 24 points against Good Vision, proving his ability to shine under pressure. He wasn't done there, also adding back-to-back 16-point performances throughout the event, solidifying his status as one of the top players in the field.   At 6'7", Woods is a stretch forward with the handles of a guard, making him a nightmare matchup for opposing teams. His on-court persona is tough, almost bully-like, and he's always looking for a new challenge to take on. Despite facing taller opponents standing at 6'8" and 6'9", Woods used his superior skill and agility to outplay them, showcasing his versatility and basketball IQ.   Recently, Woods committed to play at Xavier University, where his future looks incredibly bright. He has already been recognized for scoring 1,000 points in his high school career and has a state championship under his belt. An all-around winner, Woods is ready to take his talents to the next level and continue making waves at Xavier, where his combination of size, skill, and mentality will make him a force to be reckoned with.      Ford: Louisiana's Rising Star with an Elite All-Around Game   We may call him the "baby of the bunch," but Ford's game is anything but immature. The freshman phenom dropped 23 points in his latest outing, and that's just the tip of the iceberg for this budding Louisiana star. In his first year, Ford is already averaging 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in 5A — widely considered the toughest division in the state.   What makes Ford special is his complete game. As a freshman, he's already an elite three-point shooter, with an uncanny ability to knock down shots off the dribble, even when tightly defended. He's fearless on the court, able to finish through contact thanks to his already muscular frame. And if that weren't enough, Ford is also a deadly mid-range shooter, showcasing his versatility as a scorer.   With all these tools already in his arsenal, it's clear that Ford is destined for greatness. He recently picked up his third offer from Oklahoma State, and it's only a matter of time before more programs start to take notice.
