It's so so early to rank 2028 players so the list is very volatile at this point. In this first update of the rankings, there are a lot of players who have a long way to go but have a ton of potential. Here are some 2028s to keep an eye on moving forward.

Male has 5 freshmen, an 8th grader and a 7th grader on the varsity roster. They are very young, especially for the 7th region. [player_tooltip player_id='2396084' first='Jackson' last='Strite'] has only appeared in one varsity game but he's got size and legitimate skill. Assuming everyone stays put at Male, the Bulldogs will be absolutely loaded for the next 3 years and Strite could end up being one of the best on the roster as he develops his game and continues growing.

Zachery is a good name to file away for later as Pineville is going to graduate A TON this spring and Preston is likely to be the last man standing for them for the next 3 years. A good shooter who is pretty skilled, expect Preston to go from 4 points per game this season to closer to 20 as a Sophomore as he'll have a lot more responsibility in the offense.

Rutledge is part of a Scott County team that is really struggling to string together wins this season but Reed looks like he could be a big part of future success. Reed is still growing and filling out but his shot mechanics are pure. Right now Rutledge is primarily a freshman and JV player but he's going to have a chance to step into a starting role for the Cardinals next season.

Crosby isn't seeing much court time for a veteran Manual team but he has crazy high upside as a shot blocker and finisher around the rim. Long and athletic, Damauri reminds me of every long and rail thin kid who grows into their body and becomes a legit talent by their Junior year. Think along the lines of 2024 Jamison Glass when trying to project Crosby's future.
