brings a polished offensive game, highlighted by one of the smoothest jumpers you’ll find. He’s comfortable creating looks for himself off the dribble or spotting up within the flow of the offense, and he does a great job staying aggressive and hunting his shot. A steady returning starter, Zachery has the skill and confidence to shoulder a bigger scoring load this season. Beyond his shooting touch, he’s a capable defender, a smart decision-maker, and a competitor whose nonstop motor helps him impact the game in multiple ways.

Pineville graduated a lot this past year and will need to lean on some experienced youngsters this season to remain relevant in the 13th region title chase. Preston is a returning starter who could find himself getting the Lion’s share of the shots this season.

Zachery is a good name to file away for later as Pineville is going to graduate A TON this spring and Preston is likely to be the last man standing for them for the next 3 years. A good shooter who is pretty skilled, expect Preston to go from 4 points per game this season to closer to 20 as a Sophomore as he’ll have a lot more responsibility in the offense.

this season. While Preston didn’t see a ton of playing time last season as an 8th grader, he was able to get his beak wet with a few minutes here and there. He shoots the ball well and is a pretty good athlete. Don’t be surprised if Pineville wins their district and does it with some important playing time from the young guard.

Zachery had one of the smoothest jump shots in the gym on Saturday and was comfortable on and off the ball. His team was really good and thrived on ball movement in the 5 on 5 games. In 3 on 3, Preston was more aggressive in hunting his shot and showed he is capable of playing defense when needed. Pineville will need Preston to play a decent role this season and be “the man” as a Sophomore and he looks like he’s tracking to be comfortable in that role.
