Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
Moser is long and lanky but has shown he can score the ball and will rebound at a decent clip when his motor is running. A college coach could get a good player if they’re willing to take Ashton and stick him in the weight room. Ashton has a high skill level and has shown good IQ and toughness. He just needs to add some bulk to his wiry frame and he’ll make an impact in college.

Moser is an outstanding scorer. He splashes three-pointers while on the move and off the dribble. His mid-range pull up jumper and ability to finish through contact causes problems for the defense. He crashes the boards and converts offensive rebounds to points and extra possessions.

Another player who has a high prospect ceiling, Ashton was really good in most of the game against Scott County on Saturday. Moser is a long wing who had some crafty finishes around the rim in addition to making some perimeter shots for the Mountain Lions. Like Frazier, Moser needs to love the weight room moving forward but has the potential to be a scholarship player a year from now.

Moser has grown in height and in self confidence in the last year or so and is playing at a high level right now for the Mountain Lions. Ashton is averaging 17 points per game with 38% shooting from 3 and adding 7 rebounds per game as well. As his confidence grows, Moser can get his name on some small college radars.

is one of the best pure scorers in the 13th but he will certainly need some help. Ashton could develop into a very capable second scoring option for the Mountain Lions. At 6’4, Moser has a long and wiry frame that has plenty of room to add bulk. He has already shown he’ll knock down threes or attack the rim. As he gets stronger, look for Moser to be a difference maker for Pineville.
