2026 & 2025 Guards flying under the radar

Perry may not be a name you're familiar with, but once you see him play, he's sure to leave a lasting impression. His ability to run the floor and transition from one side to the other is exceptional for a high school player. He plays with a great deal of freedom and creativity; skills like punch dribbles, drag dribbles, and step-backs are key components of his game. He is fast, and his ability to decelerate and change direction is elite. Perry can drive to the basket, but he can also knock down open shots, which makes him a tough matchup, especially when he receives the ball coming off curls or zoom actions.     Daniels may be overlooked because he plays on a team with two of the premier players in the area, [player_tooltip player_id='1301754' first='Joshua' last='Lewis'] and JoJo Philon. However, if you take the time to watch Daniels play, you'll see a player with the potential to be a dynamic two-way contributor. As a perimeter defender, Daniels is gritty and aggressive. He anticipates plays well and uses angles effectively to apply pressure on the ball handler. He communicates effectively on the court and provides solid help defense in the gaps. While Daniels may not take a lot of shots, he has good shot selection and forces the defense to respect him as a scoring threat.     Cooper is the kind of player that every coach, at any level, would love to have. His demeanor is calm and controlled, and he possesses a phenomenal basketball IQ. He has an exceptional ability to recognize and exploit mismatches, which sets him apart from many players at the high school level. Cooper plays with both pace and purpose; his movements and dribbles are efficient, leaving little wasted motion. Being a left-handed player, he can take advantage of defenders who overlook this, driving downhill and using floaters around the rim effectively. In addition to his driving ability, he has a nice jump shot and has stepped up his offensive game in the last several outings.     Bergantino is at Calvary Christian Clearwater this season and is making an impact on both sides of the floor. Bergantino has good size and strength to go along with his athleticism and IQ. He excels at carving out space and getting to his spots on the floor. He has great ball awareness and is always in the right spot to make play. He finishes well around the rim, has a nice pull-up jumper, and plays with confidence. He is willing passer, reads the floor well, and if allowed to play coming off screens, can be a hard man to corral.     Evans is a hooper, a fierce competitor who plays hard every possession. He provides a much-needed scoring punch for his team. Evans shields the ball well with his body and plays with a low base when he has the ball in his hands. He utilizes his off-hand very effectively to make defenders pay for reaching and uses their bodies against them. He can score both off the pass and off the dribble. His floater and layup packages are his bread and butter, but if you leave him open, he can make open shots.
