Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
A First Team All-Conference selection, King has been a catalyst on both ends of the floor, averaging 14.5 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. A strong, quick, attacking guard, he consistently puts pressure on the defense with his ability to get downhill and create advantages off the dribble. He can score in a variety of ways but also shows the vision and decision-making to facilitate and set up teammates.
Defensively, King is active and disruptive, using his quickness and toughness to generate steals and ignite transition opportunities. His ability to impact the game across multiple statistical categories makes him a true stat-sheet stuffer and a well-rounded backcourt presence.

Daniels is an exciting player to watch. He gives his all on every possession, showcasing his strength and athleticism while making impactful plays on both sides of the ball. He plays with a lot of grit and imposes his will on the game. Over the last few seasons, Daniels has been a key contributor to a talented Blake High School team that had several opportunities to compete for a state title. Now, as he transfers to King High School for his senior year, he will team up with another transfer, Javon Russell, to strengthen King’s roster and help revitalize the program. With Daniels set to become one of the primary players, we expect to see a significant increase in his stats as he takes full advantage of this new opportunity.

and JoJo Philon. However, if you take the time to watch Daniels play, you’ll see a player with the potential to be a dynamic two-way contributor. As a perimeter defender, Daniels is gritty and aggressive. He anticipates plays well and uses angles effectively to apply pressure on the ball handler. He communicates effectively on the court and provides solid help defense in the gaps. While Daniels may not take a lot of shots, he has good shot selection and forces the defense to respect him as a scoring threat.

Daniels pops on film as an athletic guard prospect who can jump out of the gym and play with a DOG mentality on offense and defense. The King High product is an iso threat at the top of the key that blows by defenders with slick handles or electric speed. The rising sophomore is a smaller guard at 6’0, 150-pound but don’t let it fool you as he can shoot the rock and get to the rim with flashy agility. Daniels will be an important piece for King this fall season. Film: ?s=46&t=E0s2L9z46AqxWmKm25SmTQ
