The fourth seeded Northside Christian Mustangs faced the top seeded Providence School Stallions in the Class 2A state semifinal at the University of North Florida. With Providence based in Jacksonville, many considered the setting close to a home game for the Stallions. The two teams had met earlier in the season, with Providence winning in dominant fashion, and they looked to repeat that performance with a trip to the state championship on the line.

Northside Christian entered the game making history, playing in the program's first Final Four appearance. The Mustangs aimed to extend their season and earn their first state championship game berth. Awaiting the winner was Miami Country Day, one of the most explosive teams in the state.

Nelson's size and strength immediately posed problems for Northside. The 6'8 forward consistently established position inside, forcing the Mustangs to foul to prevent easy finishes at the rim. Nelson also showed the ability to step away from the basket, taking jumpers and converting at the free throw line. His basketball IQ stood out as well, drawing multiple charges on opposing bigs and shifting momentum in Providence's favor.

Bender provided much of Northside's offense early. The 6'8 forward used a quick first step to blow past defenders and create his own scoring opportunities. He also stepped out behind the arc and knocked down perimeter shots, giving Northside valuable production during a strong opening stretch. Bender finished with 13 points.

Stewart, the team's leading scorer at nearly 15 points per game, delivered another productive outing. The athletic forward energized the crowd with a surprise putback dunk in the first half and remained aggressive on the offensive glass. Stewart also showed his ability to stretch the defense with outside shooting.

Hearn kept Northside within striking distance for much of the game. He knocked down multiple contested shots from deep, providing critical scoring from the perimeter. At 6'4, Hearn also contributed defensively with solid play on the perimeter.

Mayberry controlled the pace for Providence. The point guard, who averages 5.2 assists per game, consistently created open looks for teammates with sharp passing and smart decision making. He also proved capable of taking over offensively, leading Providence in scoring while knocking down key free throws late to secure the win.

Providence ultimately pulled away late to defeat Northside Christian 59–43 in a game that remained competitive for most of the night before the Stallions created separation down the stretch.
