Kelly came into this season playing with a bigger burst, an excellent motor, and some great vision. He's a kid who can get up the court in a blur. He injects pace into their flow but plays very fundamentally sound. He drives their attack with his ability to penetrate and kick or get the ball up the court quickly off defensive boards. He just looks the part of a player coming into his own and playing confident basketball. And he can still shoot the three at a high clip.

Howell is a dog. He's a kid who is willing to grind from possession to possession, doesn't take plays off, and will challenge whoever opposes him on both sides of the floor. Gonzaga Prep has dealt with some injuries to key players this season and Howell has stepped up in a big way, entering the new year as the fourth leading scorer in the GSL 3A/4A at 17.5 a game. He's a tough kid who can get to the rack, put pressure on ballhandlers, and inject a lot of energy into his teammates.

The reigning NE2B North League MVP is a poised, athletic guard. He's a D-I track recruit and it shows with his ability to run and run and run, but the Dragons point guard also plays with some subtle change of pace that allows him to consistently get to the paint. He's efficient scoring inside with various finishes, takes his time to get strong and search for shooting windows, and shows great vision and touch on his passes.

Wendell has done a great job facilitating the flow of River Ridge's offense this winter, and he's done it with quick reads and passes, but also utilizing his dribble to shift the defense. He does a good job driving to pass, keeping his dribble alive, and always going inside with a plan. He's averaging 7.8 assists this winter to go along with 6.6 points and 4.8 rebounds and has had a big impact for his squad from the point.

Swanson is a gritty point guard who has helped Shorecrest get out to an 11-1 start this season. He's a guy who fights to keep plays alive, whether it's chasing down long rebounds, saving the ball from going out of bounds, or simply keeping his dribble alive. He does best in two-man action and transition where he can see passing windows develop on the move. He's been a key contributor for the Scots so far with his quick reactions and hustle.
