Redding's consistent offensive production helped keep the Jaguars in the game against Chaparral on Wednesday night. He does a great job of being in the right spot for offensive rebounds (he had 6). If it weren't for some of his second chance points, Desert Pines would have been in some real danger of losing. However they came out with the win, 72-62. Redding collected 18 points in all, and was the game's leading scorer.

McMorran II had his first 30 point game of the season against Cheyenne. He was getting to his spots with efficiency and buried a bunch of pull up jumpers and 3's. I also noticed that he was playing aggressively on defense, and it paid off. In addition to his 30 points, he also gathered 6 steals.

Amare's best game so far this week came against The Meadows School on Monday night. The 6'6 junior was unstoppable on offense, and finished with 39 points. He was splashing 3's, getting to the line, and had a couple of dunks as well. His performance also helped Basic get the win, the final score was 72-62.

In his other games this week, Oba put up 15 points and 12 rebounds in against Mojave, and 17 points and 10 rebounds against Foothill. Basic Academy lost both games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2675178' first='Mudd' last='Comtois'] had a hot start against Basic on Tuesday night. The Falcons were getting to the paint with their drives, and Comtois wisely floated to open space to get some open 3-point attempts. At the end of the first half, he already had 15 points. In the second half he was a part of Foothill's comeback and added another 5 points. The final score was 65-57, Falcons.

Andre Taylor was a difference maker for Foothill in the second half against Basic Academy. He had some hard takes to the rim and ended up drawing some fouls. Taylor also hit a tough pull up shot late in the 4th quarter, and was a big part of their late run that gave them the lead.

[player_tooltip player_id='2447899' first='Alex' last='Hutchison'] was clever with some of his takes to the basket on Monday. His teammates also found him a couple of times underneath the rim for some easy buckets. Overall, it was a good showing from the sophomore.
