Video Review: Tartan vs Roseville

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We look at the Fresh Coast Hoops video of Tartan defeating Roseville 83-65 and let you know who caught our eye!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are going to break it down like this: every four minutes we are going to break from the video and offer our thoughts, sort of like if games had quarters and we chatted during a quarter break. Here are our thoughts and at the bottom is the video from Max!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Break 1</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>CJ Banks surely has a scoring flare it seems that makes me think of either scoring lead guard or combo guard. Good touch, and so hard for these Roseville players to move with.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>6'4 senior Carter Brendan is intriguing to me.&nbsp; Moves fairly well, facing up and has scored early a couple times, averaging 12 points a game.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Tartan freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] (about 6'4) is starting which says a lot, but also hit a confident looking three early in the game.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Break 2</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>CJ Banks has a really nice touch in the lane with that one hand floater.&nbsp; He scored that twice and after a steal and a push in transition.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Roseville sophomore Micah Wiscus seemed to be a player to commit to memory after he came off the bench and hit two threes and then cut for another score.&nbsp; He hit his average in about four minutes on the floor.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Tartan always has those smart, hard working role guys that make impacts. Senior strong man Kaden Ekereke did some really good things in the paint in help, Anthony Schmidt helped force a couple turnovers on D and scored a couple times, and I like the ball pressure and ball movement of senior Jakhi Richmond.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Break 3</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>What a scoring run from Banks hitting two threes, five makes in the lane and then a buzzer beating first half three.&nbsp; By my count Banks had 19 first half points!</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Spoke about the work of Ekereke, he then took that up a level with a late half stretch of a block, a turnover force, a putback finish, and then a dunk.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>I really like Carter Brandon.&nbsp; His transition push and skilled finish, then a halfcourt attacking finish with the dribble separation and touch to finish in traffic.&nbsp; Might be a senior D3 schools should check on if they aren't already.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Break 4</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Tartan has expanded this lead from three/four buckets to high teens and it seems Banks continues to get free to put points on the board this entire time. And now he hits a pull-up jumper as he has to be approaching 30 points.&nbsp;</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] now has three transition buckets for the game and the latest was a dunk.
