Looking for the best places to go to watch holiday tournament basketball in Minnesota this week? We give you the top ten events to attend!

(1) The Granite City Classic. The St. Cloud area event has both boys and girls games at several locations. On the boys side, six of the top ten games of this week will be played in the Granite City Classic including top ten ranked match-ups of Albany vs Dawson-Boyd, Sauk Rapids-Rice vs Champlin Park, Prior Lake vs STMA, and Nevis vs Dawson-Boyd. St. John's University, St. Cloud Apollo High School, and Sauk Rapids-Rice High School are three of the several places the games will be at.

(2) Capitol City Classic. This is the event at Hamline and Northwestern (St. Paul). Six of our top twenty games of the week will be this Friday and Saturday at Hamline and that includes St. Louis Park vs St. Paul Johnson, Eagan vs Anoka, Stewartvlle vs St. Paul Johnson, and more. Plus you get to go to the historic Hutton Arena at Hamline to watch the games.

(3) Concordia-St Paul event. I would say Alexandria vs Mankato East will be the holiday event game most want to see this week because it's two teams that played in the state semi-finals last season and they are two of the best five teams in the state. Maple Grove vs DeLaSalle should also be very good and the event also has Park Center and Minnetonka.

(4) Augsburg Tournament. The three day bracket style event! I love these events of yesterday where your opponent depends on our results! A possible semi-final of Hopkins versus Minnehaha Academy or Minneapolis North, and another possible semi-final of Breck versus South St. Paul could be very interesting.

(5) East Ridge Holiday Tournament. This is more about the players in the event than the match-ups. Wayzata's top five team led by [player_tooltip player_id='1560807' first='Isaac' last='Olmstead'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'] plays Rosemount and Eastview, [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] is back in his home gym for East Ridge and his team is playing Chaska and Eden Prairie, and overall it's four varsity games each day.

(6) SMSU Holiday event. This might be on sheer volume AND the timing as they are playing the games on Monday and Tuesday of next week. There are six games a day and the teams include Jackson County Central, Montevideo, Marshall, Minneota, and Windom, TMB, and others. The JCC vs Montevideo game on Monday is a big one.

(7) Fergus Falls Holiday Tournament. This is an excellent four teamer with top five ranked Henning, a Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta team that has top five talent, Fergus Falls who is close to top five, and Worthington who has been a solid program.

(8) Pequot Lakes Holiday Tournament. Another very good outstate event of four teams, this one starts with top ten level Mora against top ten Pequot Lakes, and the other side is consistently good Moose Lake-Willow River versus Warroad who is 20 win caliber yet again (started 7-0).

(9) Esko Holiday Tournament. We stay with the outstate four teamer events, top ten Esko against top ten level East Central kicks it off and the other game is [player_tooltip player_id='1139244' first='Brooks' last='Johnson'] and Duluth Marshall facing Hinkley-Finlayson.

(10) Delano Holiday Tournament. This is a sneaky little quality event with Monticello who has been very good, [player_tooltip player_id='1560797' first='Jaxon' last='Boschee'] leading Bemidji, and then Delano an Hermantown as well. Class AAA teams.
