Without further ado, here are the top 50 prospects in North Dakota's 2025 class, including their most recent evaluation:    "He will be our primary ballhandler this season. He can play multiple positions, but his overall best position is being the Davies Point Guard. Mason has led the conference in scoring and scoring average the last three years. Mason is one of the most talented basketball players in the state of North Dakota. He is in reach to be the All-Time scorer in the State at the highest level." -Coach Manson     “Karson is a pleasure to coach. Coach Sather is getting a guy who can do a bit of everything. Post? Yes. Shoot? Yes. Slash? Yes. Pull up? Yes. Guard? Yes. Switch? Yes. Communicate? Yes Win? Yes. When you can check off all the boxes, and still have room to improve, you really are a special player. The best part of coaching Karson is that he is going to play hard whether he gets 2 shots or 20 shots.“ -Coach Maurer     "Parker is a special talent. Obviously, everyone sees the shooting, as it screams at you. He has a bit of a post-game. He can play as a roll or pop guy. He is better than people think defensively. He is good on the glass. Coach Murken is getting a guy who can do some special things.” -Coach Maurer     All-Time Assist and Single Game Assist record holder at BHS. Looks to be on a mission this season. Dre is putting up gaudy numbers so far, he is flirting with triple-double averages. He lifted, shot, and played hoops all off-season and it shows. Austin is an aggressive, no-ego, vocal floor general. You cannot guard this baller with 1 defender and as soon as you double, he will hit the open man. Dre is also tough on D and a ball-hawk. Austin is going to have an epic senior season.     "Ramsey is a stud. Ramsey can beat you on the block, on the glass, on the roll, on the pop. Great shot blocker with incredible length. Coach Murken is getting a guy who is a winner. He was asked to play multiple positions this season and really stood out. He has tremendous upside, but his current production levels have been very, very solid.“ -Coach Maurer     “Walker is a hyper competitor. Just a different animal. He gives me Darik Dissette vibes. He is like a silent assassin. Words do not do him justice. What he meant to our team is ineffable. I know absolutely nothing about football, but if he ends up playing for a lot of money on television, I will not be surprised.“ -Coach Maurer     “Physical point guard. Does a nice job finding open players. He has worked hard to be able to score at all three levels." -Coach Mattern   Starting his senior season with a bang, 5-0 start and ranked #2 in AA. Drew is a Power Guard, who is smart, a great leader, selfless, an improved shooter, and a winner.     Young Sheldon has a lightning-quick first step of the bounce, nobody in the WDA has been able to guard him with single coverage. Hudsen is an explosive athlete and one of the top dunkers in North Dakota. He is a multi-sport stud who will have his choice of which sport to play at the next level. Sheldon looks to be an improved shooter this year and he will no doubt put up massive numbers. Sheldon is a human highlight reel and is as dynamic as they come.     He and the Firebirds and the reigning State A Champions. Can they get back to the big game? Odds are yes, and Brodina will be the man to lead them there. Parker plays the game as hard as anybody and you will not find a more fierce competitor. Brodina is an intelligent player, a leader, and has a well-rounded game. He puts up points from every level and is quick to exploit a mismatch. If he gets a smaller defender on him, look out because he will likely play bully ball. Brodina is a flat-out winner.     “Presley is such a hard-working competitor. He is so coachable. He can do a bit of everything. He has superhuman leaping ability. He can shoot it. He communicates. He will run through a wall to help his team win. Truly a joy to coach. He is going to make a college coach very happy.“ -Coach Maurer       Is Schell the top unsigned player in North Dakota? I think he really projects well as a next-level guard with his length and athleticism, which go along with his well-rounded game. Payton stood out on multiple occasions this summer against high-level competition on PH Circuit. Payton's instincts, timing, and long arms make him an excellent shot blocker. Schell is also an accurate and consistent shooter from beyond the three-point arc. He is a talented 3&D playmaker.     "Joel is a workhorse and we expect Joel to expand his leadership role this year by taking control of the game when needed. He is super athletic, can defend anyone, and can score at all levels as well.“ -Coach Brodina       “There aren't many kids who play harder than Aric. He is a very smart player who doesn't take any plays off. Aric is great at attacking the rim and finishing or creating for others. He is also a force on the defensive end as he can stay in front of most and is willing to take charges and do the dirty work. This is the type of kid every coach wants to have on their team!“ -Coach Moormann       This Magician is another highly successful multi-sport athlete. Schaeffer was an All-State tennis player this fall. I am not sure what his college plans are, but scouts have to be intrigued by his length, mobility, versatility, athleticism, and bounce. Shaeffer is a high-riser who SLAMs on the regular. Grayson's numbers will not pop like some of the others but he can score in a variety of ways, gets stops on defense, board-up, create turnovers, and is full of upside & potential.     “6'5” Wing. True energizer bunny with good athleticism. Perimeter skill level has improved as he is shooting the ball consistently and decision-making has gotten better.“ -Coach Kaeding     I have liked his game for multiple years and Karter just keeps getting bigger, stronger, and faster. It sounds like he will be playing football in Grand Forks next fall but he could certainly compete in basketball and/or Track & Field at the next level. Karter is an old-school low-post type of player but he can also WHAM with flash and flair. He is lethal around the basket but can also step out and hit the jumper, his shot has improved over the last year. Peterson is also a high-yielding rebounder and a voracious defender.     "“Droog is a returning All-Region player for us. He averaged a double-double last season and was a huge reason for the success we had as a team. He can score from inside and out and is a great rebounder. He can defend multiple positions and is a good shot blocker as well. He improved all aspects of his game in the off-season. He will have to take on an even bigger role on both ends of the floor with the loss of a very successful graduating class.“ -Coach Lillemoen     Few prospects raised their stock as much as Klefstad did from his sophomore campaign to last year, and early indications point to a very big senior year! This raging bull gets to the basket like only a select few across the Dakotas, and Cam rebounds and protects the paint at a high level as well. Klefstad is a mismatch nightmare with his explosiveness, high-end motor, strength, and relentlessness. Cam is an above-the-rim finisher, a tough defender with versatility, and a physical baller who will average a Double-Double.     He is an intriguing player with his length/size, mobility, and versatile scoring. Over the past two off-seasons, Wirth has added muscle and strength. Oliver has started the season hot with steals, 2-hands SLAMs, slash-n-scores, multiple deep three-pointers, rejections, and offensive rebounds. Wirth is a matchup headache as he can score from all levels, produce off the catch/bounce, and put up points in transition. He is a productive rebounder and has a ton of upside on defense.     I think of him as an aggressive and talented slasher/attacker. He is also excellent in transition. However, I have heard reports that Englund is an improved shooter. He will be extra dangerous player in his senior season. Caden is a good-sized and strong guard who does not shy away from contact. Englund has a diverse finishing package and always looks to be in "attack mode". Caden is not just a scorer, he is a creator and playmaker with the ball who is quick to dish an assist. Englund can also lock up on defense.     "“Pearce had a great season for our team and at times couldn't be stopped on the offensive end. Pearce will most likely end up being a D1 football player which showed on the court as many times his athleticism and toughness were a way to get us an easy bucket. He always plays under control and has such a quick first step that this allows him to get past defenders in many situations.“ -Coach Moormann     So far this season, Newman has proven himself as an explosive scoring weapon. Thomas is averaging 35.5 ppg, 9 rpg, 3 apg, and has hit 22 FT's while shooting 91.7%. Newman is long and he makes plays off the dribble. He shoots left-handed from the outside but is a top-notch finisher with both hands around the hoop. He will also drain runners/floater with his R & L. Newman is a quality athlete and a crafty scorer. I like his footwork and elusiveness when attacking the basket. If he keeps this up, Thomas will be a sure-fire All-Stater.     PHD is expecting Johnson to average a Double-Double this year and to be an All-State type of player in his senior season. Brennan is a BIG interior ballerr who rebounds well, plays stout defense, and can score on the block with power and/or skill. He will also space the floor and shoot the three-pointer at a consistent clip. This summer, Johnson proved that he is a gamer who will hit shots in big moments. He can take over a game but will also make the extra pass and do the dirty work.     This future Golden Eagle is one if the best off-the-ball guards in North Dakota. Mr. Cool is always moving and knows how to get open. Westphal has a quick release and a nice bag of offensive gifts that makes him one of the more dangerous scorers in the state! He showed that off in game 1 of the season, Brady can get hot in a hurry. He is a talented shooter but also has a sweet floater/runner, is quick to move the ball, and find an open teammate. Can he & Evanson get the Hawks to the coveted State Tournament?     He is coming off an All-State football season, Sully should be full of confidence. Ihry is moving into a primary scoring role this season and will not settle for being just a three-point shooter, as he can get downhill and has the strength to finish. Ihry is also a gifted passer and a hardworking teammate. Can he elevate the play of the new faces around him and lead the Stangs to the State Tournament his senior year? It certainly feels like it is the time to shine for Sully.     "“Eric is really smooth with the ball for his size. He plays with great pace that allows him to never really get sped up. He can finish inside and when you leave him open from deep you can expect the ball to go in.“ -Coach Peterson     "Dynamic ball-in-hand guard, great in the ball screen, knocks down tough shots with ease, and has some flashy passes. His improvements were that he learned to make the “simple” play later in the year. Instead of going for the “homerun” play, he learned there is nothing wrong with hitting a single.“ -Coach Cummings     Heck is a multi-sport talent, a playmaking QB, and a star guard on the hardwood. I like his length and basketball skills. Bryson has is a smooth and effortless three-shooter. He is an impressive passer who sees the floor well, shoots with great balance, and his range extends well beyond the high school arc.       The Lions are 3-0 and ranked #2 in B. Lundeen was All-State last season & helped get Lions to State, we expect that to happen again. Jett is an all-around athlete who makes the game look easy, he is smart & skilled, and thrives in everything he does on the court.       He is going to put up gaudy numbers this year. In game 1 this season, Perkins went for 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals. I will not be surprised if he goes for a few Triple-Doubles this season. Perkins is a gym rat who plays a ton of ball, and he is a mistmach problem with his size and skill.     He will be at West Point next fall to play football, but before that happens, Starcevic has to win a bunch of basketball games with the Vikings. Jake is strong and tough, a horse on the glass, a tough defender, and an opportunistic scorer.     A four-year starting PG for GFC. Wilber is a skilled, smart, a fierce competitor, he never backs down, and he does a nice job of getting the Knights into their offense. Wilber is also a leader and a tireless worker.     “Landon is a big and physical post. He moves bodies in the paint and rebounds extremely well. He uses his size to his advantage and plays tough inside. When opposing players drive inside, they might want to think twice about it.“ -Coach Peterson     The Eagles are 3-0 and ranked #3, a big reason for that is Mr. Cosley. He is a complete stat stuffer and an extreme athlete. Grant is an all-encompassing scorer who thrives in transition and at attacking. He has a sweet jump shot, excellent in transition, can hit from deep, and is disruptive on defense. I predict that Cosley will be an All-State player this season.       He is new at Minot North and I think he will thrive. Kaiden is a big guard who has the potential to put up serious numbers on the offensive end. He shoots it well from beyond the 3pt arc, I like his pull-up game & he finishes well in traffic.     He is dealing with an injury issue but when he is healthy, Kuhn is a beast. Wyatt is a stat stuffer and a force to be reckoned with. Last season, Kuhn was All-Region & All-District last, he averaged a Double-Double (20.5 ppg & 10 rpg).     I really like Westin's shooting stroke/follow-through. He is effective/accurate shooting off the catch & bounce. Wyatt and the Skyhawks should have a great season, they will be one of the best in Class A. Look for Westin to spread the floor, hit a boatload of 3's, create for teammates, and rack up the wins.     I like his length on the wing and free-flowing scoring ability. Nolan has started the season scalding hot with a 4-0 record, 20.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, and a smoking hot 44..8 3FG%. He scores in waves from every level and is a multi-dimensional offensive threat. He and the Midgets are scary.       Averaging double figures for the 4-0 and #4 ranked Braves in Class AA and shooting a hot 40 3FG%. TJ is an opportunistic score and a serious shooter from long range. He is quick, speedy, agile, and he plays the cam cool/collected under pressure.     Future Division 1 athlete. Had an injury early in the year but won't be out long. Husar was All-Region last year and that should happen again this season. He can do it all on the court. Trey is excellent in transition, he gets to the basket with little trouble, and he is an impressive above-the-rim-finisher.     He was a breakout player last season. I like his shooting mechanics and accuracy. Bridger can really shoot the rock. He spaces the floor and fills it up from three-point land. Johnson also as a quality middy pull-up game.     A first-rate shooter with the potential to put up 20+ points on any given night. Shaefer is a quality multi-sport athlete. He moves well without the ball, knows how to get open, is clutch/a gamer, and is not afraid to take/hit big shots.     He is a Double-Double machine! Sylling is a strong & physical athlete who is aggressive on both ends of the hardwood. He is a high-yielding rebounder who will do anything to get his hands on the rock. Tee is an explosive finisher and I like his pull-up game inside the arc. His number will be impressive this season.     “Xavier does a great job defending the post. He is a space-eater who boxes out consistently. Offensively, he has some stretchability and is a willing passer.“ -Coach Maurer     A key role player for the Eagles, he is not afraid to do the dirty word and you have to like Witte's length/size. Holden improved his athleticism over the off-season and he production should only improve as the season moves on. I like him as a rebounder, interior defender, and his post moves on the block.     Fetzer is a playmaker for the undefeated and #1 ranked Miners. Dontaye is a thick, strong, and explosive athlete. Fetzer is a southpaw but he finishes with both hands nicely. He can hit the outside jumper but is at his best when attacking and scoring in transition. This Miner is a dynamite scorer and a gamer.     "A very good good inside player and the team's best rebounder. He puts himself in the right position making it very difficult for teams to keep him off the offensive boards. Owen has a very nice midrange shot and can knock down the open three when he needs to.“ -Coach Pruitt     "Drake has greatly improved his game and was an All-Region player for us last year. He had some big offensive nights but focused primarily on defending a team's best player. He consistently held them under their averages. Drake will need to be the best at his position both on offense and defense for us to be successful this season." -Coach Anderson     It seems like Odenbach just keeps on growing! Drew has game-changing size & length and does BIG man things well like rebounding/defense/rim protection. He is a physical/strong finisher and a formidable low post defender.     A leader for the Miners who are ranked #1 in Class B. Hunter has great fundamentals, is a knockdown shooter from 3, and his mid-range pull-J is vastly improved. I recently watched Wolff play, and his middy looked like Sam Cassell, he put on a shooting clinic. Hunter dropped 38 points this past Monday on Beulah in an epic comeback win. Wolff is also an unselfish passer and a very good defender. Hunter is a gamer.
