Gill and Bolte Continue to Be Dynamic Duo for St. Ignatius

In the first game of the day it was St. Ignatius who won over Crete Monee 65-32. As it has been all season long they were led by Northwestern commit [player_tooltip player_id='1385292' first='Phoenix' last='Gill'] and junior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2323283' first='Chris' last='Bolte']. Gill was aggressive all game long using his handles to get in the lane for scores in the paint with slick takes along with cuts off the ball especially on baseline out of bounds plays. Showed creativity around the rim with great body control and played a good all-around game for 21 points. Bolte has been a consistent force as a skilled four man that drained a trio of feathery threes along with putting it on the deck. He had 15 points along with crashing the boards well. Got solid guard play to help out their stars as Napoleon Harris brought toughness and defense scoring 6 points while Ryan Cavanagh drained a pair of triples for 6 points. Alex Anaya brought a spark with his shooting and passing netting 8 points.

DGN lost their stars from last years team, but they have not missed a beat as they moved to 7-0 on the season with a 51-24 victory. They won with a great coach in Jim Thomas and a well balanced team on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='2415414' first='Nolan' last='Hurter'] put his name on the map with his 14 points by getting to the line, scoring on back cuts, and hitting a three.
Bloom Breaks Away from Lindblom in 2nd Half

This one was close in the first half as Lindblom actually led by a point at the half. Then their star [player_tooltip player_id='1545131' first='Elijah' last='Lovemore'] ripped off 10 points in the third quarter to flip the game which Bloom would roll 64-41. Lovemore got his team going with a strong outing draining crisp mid-range shots along with being aggressive taking it to the cup. [player_tooltip player_id='2105218' first='Payton' last='Edwards'] is a great glue guy who hit open shots and euro stepped to the rim for a score netting 12 points. Early in the game Bloom got a big lift from [player_tooltip player_id='1766466' first='Adam' last='Page'] as the long and lanky two guard had a nice outing pouring in jumpers and slicing through the lane. We were very intrigued with 6'5” 2027 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2749967' first='Xavier' last='Martin'] who protected the rim and finished out of the dunker spot for 10 points.

Lindblom got 12 points out of their sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2455378' first='Ed' last='Williams'] IV. The lead guard makes good decisions with the ball as a passer and can knock down pull up shots. Mekhi Mosses (7 points), [player_tooltip player_id='1713735' first='Omari' last='Kamal'] (6 points), and [player_tooltip player_id='2439329' first='William' last='Occomy'] (7 points) each had their moments in the loss.

Hyde Park gave Benet everything they had, but in the end their size was just too much as they won 67-54. Southern Illinois commit [player_tooltip player_id='1598682' first='Daniel' last='Pauliukonis'] shined in front of one of his future assistant coaches. Long and lanky four man was impressive as he scored on cuts moving without the ball all night long. Ran the floor, hit a spot up three, and was consistently moving en route to 21 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2105376' first='Colin' last='Stack'] is a five man in the 2026 class that is 7 footer who was dominant on the offensive glass with four put backs in the win. He sealed, threw down lob dunks, and hit a top of the key three scoring 21 points. One of the best 2026 big men in class. Great guard play as well for Benet with their senior leader [player_tooltip player_id='1598658' first='Blake' last='Fagbemi'] who has an advanced passing feel along with chipping in 7 points. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2105390' first='Jayden' last='Wright'] had an array of great dishes along with getting to the line. He had 9 points.

DePaul Prep Core Four Guards Lead to Win vs Rich Township

In one of the more highly anticipated games of the evening DePaul Prep looked impressive in their 66-50 victory against Rich Township. They have four guards that play so well off each other. Let's start with their 2026 floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1435692' first='Rykan' last='Woo'] who had one of the best games we have seen him play during his career. He shot it well from three draining four of them, had his soft touch finishing game flowing, great body control at the rim, and was whipping passes around on the money while scoring 24 points. Western Illinois commit [player_tooltip player_id='1545133' first='Makai' last='Kvamme'] pushed the tempo while making great decisions and scoring in the lane notching 12 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1385311' first='Robert' last='Walls'] had a nice showing scoring 13 points with a pair of threes along with acrobatic layups. [player_tooltip player_id='2323334' first='AJ' last='Chambers'] came off the bench to provide a spark pushing in transition and getting to the rim at will for 10 points. Inside it was [player_tooltip player_id='1845360' first='Rashaun' last='Porter'] who mauled on both the offensive and defensive boards with physicality while scoring 6 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766460' first='Al' last='Brooks'] Jr had a big game again as the top 10 uncommitted prospect is posting big numbers after transferring to Rich from Hansberry. The step up in competition hasn't been a problem for the stat sheet stuffing combo forward as he used his athleticism around the hoop along with high-motor to do damage. Blocked shots, dunks, and flew down the floor for 20 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2621194' first='Jayden' last='Williams'] is a glue guy that has had a strong season scoring 10 points in this game with his pull up three ball along with getting to the foul line.

The [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] Shootout saved the best for last as St. Laurence and Homewood Flossmoor played in front of an intense crowd with both teams bringing the energy of their own in a fun back and forth game. St. Laurence won on a scramble shot as Purdue Fort Wayne commit [player_tooltip player_id='1766461' first='EJ' last='Mosley'] grabbed a rebound and threw it up in OT for the win with one second remaining giving his St. Laurence team the win 55-53 over previously undefeated Homewood Flossmoor.

Mosley had a solid all-around floor game with his passing, defense, and picking his spots to score finishing with 14 points. His senior running mates on the wings [player_tooltip player_id='1766462' first='Zerrick' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1550741' first='Jacob' last='Rice'] had big games as well. Johnson brought the energy defensively along with relentlessly attacking the rim for 8 points. Rice is one of the top uncommitted wings in the class. He crashes the boards well from his wing spot and played physical on drives while scoring 15 points. Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] really stepped up in the win. Strong bodied guard used strength and handles on his drives, got on the offensive glass, and hit a three on the way to 10 points.

Wofford commit [player_tooltip player_id='1774274' first='Jayden' last='Tyler'] got several clutch buckets throughout the game. He has such a great burst with the ball going from 0 to 60 in a split second! Won on straight line takes and had the ability to make difficult shots in the lane. Lewis commit [player_tooltip player_id='2105169' first='Arden' last='Eaves'] had some of the best highlights of the game throwing down a couple of massive alley-oop jams while scoring 8 points. Freshman point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2467517' first='Darrius' last='Hawkins'] was shifty with the ball in his hands as a scorer, passer, along with being an active defender. [player_tooltip player_id='2723823' first='Ethan' last='Howard'] continues to impress this season as a senior. Poured in mid-range jumpers and utilized his handles to get where he needed for conversions as he had 15 points.
