Thomas has been the model of consistency for the Thunderbirds. CJ led his team in scoring with 16 points but he didn’t start until the second quarter after he and his team went scoreless in the first. His scrappy play and ability to score on ball screens and in the lane was a vital recipe for their run to stay in the game. Thomas’ knack to finish in the lane ultimately helped Hyde Park take a brief lead early in the fourth. In the last minutes of the game Curie made adjustments and Thomas didn’t get many clean looks the rest of the game.
