REDONDO BEACH — Redondo Union high school and head coach Reggie Morris, Jr. played host to the annual Jordan Brand Take Flight Challenge over the weekend which featured top programs from Southern California, Arizona and Texas. We were in attendance for all eight games and below are some class of 2027 prospects who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436266' first='Chris' last='Sanders'] | 2027 | Redondo Union

Sanders is a powerful left-handed driver and slasher who uses his combination of physicality and athleticism to get downhill and to the rim in transition and half-court offense. The 6-foot-3 wing/forward is an efficient finisher at the rim who absorbs and finishes through contact but can also elevate and score over the top of the last line of defense. The sophomore stands out defensively, as well with his versatility and impact in Redondo's full-court pressure.

[player_tooltip player_id='2435366' first='Cole' last='Holden'] | 2027 | Harvard-Westlake

Holden looks to be in line to be one of the Wolverines' next highly-recruited guards and that has to do with the simplicity of his game. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is a confident shooter off-the-catch from three-point range and brings a high basketball IQ and toughness on both ends of the floor that are well-beyond his years. Holden is a capable ball handler, creator and initiator of offense when needed.

Isaac Hagens | 2027 | Long Beach Poly

Hagens still has a way to go with his development but he came off the Poly bench Saturday and impressed with his feel for the game offensively. The 6-foot-6 forward/center has soft hands and touch around the basket and flashed some impressive footwork on the block, as well. The sophomore is definitely one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436255' first='Jayden' last='Yim'] | 2027 | Corona Centennial

Corona Centennial struggled against host Redondo Union but sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2436255' first='Jayden' last='Yim'] came off the bench and provided a bit of a spark for the youth-laden Huskies. The 5-foot-10 combo guard is a quick and speedy playmaker in transition but his impact Saturday was in catch-and-shoot situations from three-point range. Yim buried a handful of corner and wing threes which is a promising sign for Centennial as they build through strong freshman and sophomore classes.

Malcom Price | 2027 | St. Joseph

Price is a steady-handed and savvy point guard whose improvements as a shooter and overall scorer continue to raise his stock as a prospect. The 6-foot point guard has great open court speed but remains under control when probing the lane and finding open teammates. Price is a peksy on-ball defender whose quick hands and ability to pressure the ball creates problems for ball-handlers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436271' first='Terron' last='Williams'] | 2027 | Bishop Montgomery

Williams put together a near double-double performance in Saturday's loss to Long Beach Poly and the sophomore forward has some tools to build on over the next couple of seasons. The 6-foot-4 sophomore is an active offensive and defensive rebounder who pursues the ball in and out of his area. Offensively, Williams can punch through lanes with downhill drives and finish through contact around the basket.
