This coming weekend, Adidas will be hosting its 2nd Session at Mishawaka Fieldhouse in Mishawaka, Indiana. In this article, I take a look at 8 players from the Western Region of the US, mainly California, that need to be on the radar of scouts and coaches in attendance. There are several other players to keep an eye on, which I covered during Session 1 from the 2027 through 2029 class, but this article focuses on players I did not include in my coverage of the first weekend of the 3SSB season. In this article you will find the following information: players name, height, position, school, club team, how they performed, and their skill sets. The players are listed in alphabetical order, not ranked order, and we begin with [player_tooltip player_id='2575764' first='Joshua' last='Agbo'].

[player_tooltip player_id='2575764' first='Joshua' last='Agbo'] (6'5 | WG) - Corona Centennial/Dream Vision 16s

Agbo is a physical and skilled player that can create his own offense, makes plays for teammates, and can space the floor from beyond the arc at a high clip. Agbo had a solid showing during Session 1 for Dream Vision and is looking to carry that momentum into the Liver Period Session 2. The 6-foot-5 wing/guard has solid handles, keeps the dribble alive to survey the floor, has a good blend of shift and power when looking to attack the basket, with use of the crossover, between-cross, hesitation, and spin-move to create space from his defender, has good body control and lift on the jumper, with accuracy from the mid-range to the 3-point line off the bounce, has the strength to score through contact on shots around the basket, moves well off the ball to get to his shot spots, and is efficient with the 3-ball off the catch. Agbo is active on the boards, has the handle to push the ball off the glass, the court vision to find teammates up the court or in the half-court setting, finding open teammates off the drive and kick pass or to his bigs out of the pick and roll action. Has the build to hold up against taller players in the post, as well as the lateral footspeed to stay in front of perimeter players.

[player_tooltip player_id='2624927' first='Amare' last='Chandler'] (6'6 | WG) - Livermore/Team Lillard 16s

Chandler is an athletic, skilled, and versatile two-way player that turns defense to offense routinely, can score in volume from the perimeter, makes plays for others, and averaged nearly 15 points per game on a loaded Team Lillard squad. The 6-foot-5 wing/guard has been one of the biggest stock risers on the West Coast since the start of the club season in March, and is looking to keep that momentum going heading into Session 2 of the 3SSB Circuit. Chandler has dynamic handles, the moves to get his defender off balance, using the crossover, wrap-behind, hesitation, toss-cross, and the spin-move to get space from his defender, gets great lift on the jumper, has the accuracy and body control to connect on the jumper with frequency from the mid-range to the 3-point line, uses his length and ability to adjust in air to score at the basket, with the Euro-step, reverse and up-and-under lay-ups in his bag, and has the court awareness to find holes in the defense, moves well off the ball, and gets open for perimeter shots off the catch. Chandler is an elite perimeter defender with active hands, good instincts and understanding of opposing players tendencies, jumps passing lanes and pokes the ball out, and gets out into the open floor often for easy transition buckets/dunks. Chandler is active on the boards on both ends, pushes the pace up the floor off the defensive glass, has the court vision to find players up the court, as well as off the drive and kick pass, and can alter shots in the wing or from the weakside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746607' first='Josh' last='Lowery'] (6'5 | CG) - Sierra Canyon/Compton Magic 17s

Lowery is a lengthy and skilled sharp shooter that can light it up from beyond the arc, is improving as a facilitator, has good defensive instincts, and displayed his all around impact on the game during Session 1, averaging 11.5 points, 3. Rebounds, 4 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. The 6-foot-5 combo guard has a solid handle on the ball, keeps it on a string to survey the floor, has the moves to create off the dribble, using the crossover, hesitation, spin-move, and between-cross to get by his initial defender, is a creative scorer at the basket, with use of the Euro-step, the up-and-under and reverse lay-ups, and the floater to score over height in the paint, and is efficient with the jumper, from the mid-range to the 3-point line off the bounce. Lowery is at his best scoring the ball when he is running off ball screens, cutting off the ball, and getting to his shot spots for the catch and shoot 3-ball, where he can score in volume quickly. What impressed me most during the opening weekend of the 3SSB Circuit was Lowery's play making and court vision, as he was finding open teammates off the drive and kick out pass, dimes to the bigs out of the pick and roll action, and pin-point passes up the court to open teammates in transition off the defensive rebound, which was evident in him putting up nearly 4 assists per game. Lowery has active hands, a long wingspan, and the timing to jump passing lanes or poke the ball out to get out in the open court. Playing up in the 17u Division, the Top 30 nationally ranked guard will look to boost his stock playing for the loaded CM squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2750208' first='JR' last='Mosley'] (6'2 | CG) - Legacy Christian Academy/Dream Vision 16s

Mosley is a skilled and crafty scorer that can fill it up from beyond the arc in volume, is a true 3-level scorer, has a variety of moves to score in the mid-range area, and had a strong showing during Session 1, looking to take that into the Live Period this weekend. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has dynamic handles, keeps the dribble alive to probe the defense, has the strength to bully his way to the basket, with the physicality to absorb and score through contact at the basket, as well as the moves to evade shot blockers, using the Euro-step, the reverse, or the floater to score over height. Mosley has the moves to create space from his defender, uses the crossover, the spin-move, the toss-cross, the wrap-behind, and the hesitation to get his defender on his hip, has the body control and accuracy to spray shots with accuracy from the mid-range to the 3-point line off the bounce, and is at his best when he is hunting the middy, with the back-down into the spin-fadeaway jumper, the fadeaway jumper in the paint, and the traditional stop-and-pop middy. Mosley moves fluid off the ball, gets to his shot spots, and is efficient with the 3-ball off the catch with range.

Dominick Olanrewaju (6'6 | WF) - San Joaquin Memorial/Lakeshow 16s

Olanrewaju is a skilled and lengthy player that can operate in the paint, as well as create off the perimeter, is a versatile defender, and can space the floor from beyond the arc. The 6-foot-6 wing/forward has solid handles, has the moves to create off the dribble, uses the crossover, between-cross, and hesitation to get to the paint, has the moves to score at the basket, with the Euro-step, reverse, and up-and-under lay-ups, and is efficient with the mid-range jumper, with body control and shot versatility, using the fadeaway, up-and-under jumper, and the traditional pull-up jumper. Olanrewaju moves well off the ball, gets to the corner spot or the wing, and is accurate with the 3-ball off the catch. Olanrewaju is active on the boards, gets put-backs off the rebound, has the size to hold up against taller players, as well as the lateral footspeed to stay in front of perimeter players, with active hands to deflect passes or jump passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552733' first='Donovan' last='Palmer'] (6'8 | PF) - Chandler/Compton Magic 16s

Palmer is a physical and skilled player that controls the glass on both ends, has touch on shots around the basket, and runs the floor well in the open court. The 6-foot-8 power forward has great touch on shots around the basket, can connect on the face-up mid-post jumper routinely, has enough handle to attack from the top of the key, seals his defender off to get open off the pick and roll action, with soft hands on the catch, and the ability to throw it down, or score with the reverse or up-and-under lay-ups. Palmer has the wingspan and timing to alter/block shots at the basket, outlets the ball quickly to get up the court, and will be the featured big for CMs 16s, who have a slew of talented guards around him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2484218' first='Parks' last='Weaver'] (6'4 | PG) - Folsom/Team Lillard 16s

Weaver has been one of the top lead guards I have seen in person this Spring and he had his full guard skill-set on display at Session 1, averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, and had his event high in Lillard's last game against NorCal rival Lakeshow 16s, going for 16 points, connecting on 3 threes, and 4 steals. The 6-foot-4 point guard has dynamic handles, surveys the floor to find openings in the defense, has all the moves to create off the dribble, using the spin-move, hesitation, crossover, between-cross, and wrap-around to get his defender off balance, can score if effectively from 3-levels, and has the court vision to find open teammates off the drive and kick pass, out of the pick and roll action, and up the court off the defensive rebound to push the pace of play. Weaver is a lights out shooter that can score in volume from the 3-point line off the bounce or the catch, and has shown he is a tough on-ball defender that has good instincts and quick hands to deflect passes or jump passing lanes. Weaver will likely see his offers and national status increase after the first Live Period of the club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brendan' last='Williams'] (6'10 | FC) - Moreau Catholic/Team Lillard 16s #1

Williams has been one of the biggest stock risers for big men on the West Coast and had an impressive Session 1, with averages of 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game, and is looking to keep that momentum going into Session 2 this weekend. The 6-foot-10 forward/center has great touch on shots around the basket, looks to punch anything close to the basket with force, is an elite rebounder that gets the ball out, runs the floor well in the open court to get ahead of the defense, and looks to take flight in transition. Williams is a high-level rim-protector with the wingspan and timing to block shots in the paint, as well as the length to step out and alter/deflect perimeter shots, seals his defender off nicely, and makes himself available diving to the basket out of the pick and roll action. Williams makes good reads from the post to players on the perimeter, finds open teammates from the top of the key, and finds holes in the defense to get open, especially in the dunker spot. I expect to hear that he has a big Live Period weekend and additional offers to start rolling in.
