Summer Creek 9th Grade Tourney: Freshmen to Put on Your Radar

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Summer Creek freshmen tournament was a ground to see many new prospects in action that a lot of the fans may not have seen before. I know for a fact that this was my first time getting to watch many of these players in person and there were definitely some that made an impact, regardless of win or loss for their team. Henry was a three-level scorer for the Tigers and demonstrated an effective ability to create his own shot from wherever on the court. He had several pull up three pointers in the face of the defense and was a big motivational leader for the rest of his teammates as he helped them climb back from a tremendous deficit in the first half. Tnique is a very explosive, shifty guard who can get to his spots and take over a game. Taylor was a consistent outside threat as well as being able to get to the rim and finish uncontested or through traffic. Jack also handled the ball a number of times and was able to fend off defenders trying to be aggressive with him and steal the ball. Bourgeois knows how to control the pace of the offense and was a blur in transition as he hit several pull up shots and converted on trips to the foul stripe. He also has great court awareness and always knows where his teammates are on the floor. He came off the bench and showed that he was coachable and would do anything his team needed to secure the victory. He got clutch rebounds, pushed the ball in transition, and helped play solid fundamental defense to keep the opponent from scoring easy buckets. Horak had good hustle for loose balls and was key in the offense getting multiple scores to maintain the lead all game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
