The Prep Hoops South Finals was a competitive event that brought out plenty of talent from different areas of the country. Each team wanted to be competitive to be able to reach the top of the tournament to participate in the championship games that concluded the event. These are the standouts that played the most competitive and gave their team advantages to win games.    [player_tooltip player_id='2558736' first='Keylan' last='Bircher'] is a 17U guard for the Tyler Prospects that is a nimble and agile ball handler. He effortlessly evaded defenders in the half-court, using intricate dribble combinations to confuse opposing defenders. Bircher's ability to find his teammates in multiple offensive situations is a testament to his playmaking skills. Defensively, he applies pressure on opposing guards, ensuring that the Rse Basketball 17U guards remained in front of him. Bircher also demonstrates his offensive prowess by skillfully navigating around screens, preventing the opposing team from gaining an advantage.     Amare Kennedy of the Tyler Prospects 17U demonstrates exceptional floor control, particularly during transition situations and after defensive stops. He effectively utilizes his strong finishing skills around the basket and contributes defensively by rebounding on a consistent level. Defensively he is very active in opposing transition opportunities getting his hands on a couple steals while also altering shots at times at the rim. Amare is a player that you can plug into a game and give you the necessary hustle to change the outlook of the game.     Bo Barber is a highly athletic player for the RSE Basketball 17U team that has an active play style that just pops whenever he is on the court. He effortlessly soars over defenders to complete layups and dunks while quickly makes his way downhill, making his finishing almost automatic. Barber's height also allows him to shoot from the perimeter with precision. When defenders close in on him near the basket, he demonstrates excellent reading skills, passing the ball to his teammates on the perimeter. Defensively, Barber utilizes his athleticism to block shots around the basket. Bo Barber was easily the most impressive 17U player I was able to evaluate the whole South Finals.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560679' first='Tucker' last='Turner'] is a formidable force for Right Way Hoops 17U. Defensively he consistently makes hustle plays that gained his team more possessions as the game went on making an impact. Tucker crashes a lot for rebounds especially defensively while coming up with offensive ones as well. On the perimeter he displayed the ability to deflects passes within the Houston Hoops North 17U offense. He also goes for the ball when it's loose and makes extra efforts when those opportunities present themselves. Offensively his perimeter shot was on target from multiple spots on the floor especially when he was open.     [player_tooltip player_id='2558155' first='Josiah' last='Hall'] is a guard for the Houston Hoops North 17U that was thrust into a more prominent role during the South Finals. Offensively, he primarily relied on scoring within the perimeter. He effectively maneuvered to the basket and seized pull-up jumper opportunities within the offensive flow against the Right Way Hoops 17U. Notably, he preferred shooting from the corners, particularly the right corner in the mid-range. When the ball was in his possession, Josiah exhibited a fast-paced style of play, actively pushing the ball to create potential transition opportunities off opposing offensive possessions.
