<p>The James Island HS Trojans started the day off blitzing First Baptist to victory. Unsigned senior forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1370628' first='Parker' last='Renault']</strong> led the way with 21 points in the victory. Parker has a grown a bit in height over the past year. He really likes to play faceup when given the opportunity, but he started to play with his back to the basket some. He feels most comfortable stepping out and playing as a faceup 4 man. He showcased a few turnaround jumpers here today in the win.</p>

The slender-sleek Ward was able to at times today to play for guard spots in the backcourt. Gavin shoots the 3-ball at the goo clip from beyond the arc. He was able to showcase off some mid-range game off the bounce. Gavin handled the ball up the floor at times today when called onto be a point guard. </p>

The left-handed guard Rose finished with 17 points in the loss. Rose a sophomore played with the same energy all game long from beginning to end. William really brought a strong effort and work ethic to the table despite his team losing. He was able to finish at the bucket with his righthand. </p>

Ward scored 27 points before the halftime buzzer on his way to 40 points tonight. The Generals defeated the Chargers 69-38. </p>

<p>Ward a sophomore guard can really score the rock in a hurry while on the floor. Bryce excels in the transition game with his ability to blow by defenders at times on the way to the bucket. He really has the ability to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Ward a natural scorer at times will have the Generals back in the thick of things come late February in Sumter for the SCISA Class 2A State Tourney. </p>

<p>The Porter Gaud Cyclones had little trouble with Bethune-Bowman HS a Class 1A program here today. The Cyclones defeated the Mohawks 72-51 behind the strong play of Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2698335' first='Banks' last='Butler']</strong>. Butler finished with 19 points in the win while Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2398923' first='Kateaux' last='Miller'] </strong>added 11 points in the win. </p>

<p>Butler scored 11 points in the first quarter to get things started for the Cyclones. Banks was able to finish around the cup and deliver on some putbacks along the way. The Cyclones led the Mohawks 49-23 at the halftime break. </p>

<p>The Oceanside Collegiate Landsharks secured a victory in the nightcap of the Lowcountry Showcase. The Landsharks defeated the Cane Bay HS Cobras 57-42 to end the day. Junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1206191' first='Jake' last='Thomas']</strong> led the charge with 16 points and several rebounds down low. Thomas brings such a great work ethic and blue-collar demeanor to the floor for the Landsharks. He does a great job of rebounding the ball outside of his area. Jake was able to use a head-fake move around the bucket or simply drive it with 2-3 dribbles from the free throw line at times. Thomas really understands on how to use his body down low in paint. </p>

Jones needs time to set his feet while shooting the ball at a good percentage clip. Carson played aggressive all game long here today while jumping on the deck for loose balls at times. Jones finished the game with 11 points. </p>

Dawson does a nice job of elevating up on his jump-shot. Ty'Rek has a nice pullup-jumper a at times he likes to use in his arsenal. Dawson can really be a rangy defender on the ball at times.</p>

The Cobras ere led in scoring by senior<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1766180' first='Kevin' last='Dukes']</strong> with 14 points. Dukes a left-handed bull in a China shop at times was looking to overpower defenders on the way to the basket all night long. Kevin was looking all night long to drive the ball to the basket. </p>
