Monday we hit day 11 of holiday tournament action and we found ourselves at the prestigious York Jack Tosh holiday tournament. We watched two very different games that had a little bit of everything. Here are the standouts from those games.

Bolingbrook 61 Metamora 47

[player_tooltip player_id='2323624' first='Davion' last='Thompson'] (Bolingbrook) 2027

What an amazing performance Davion put on for the people in attendance. He played at a high level making deep-range bombs when guys rested on defense and was a strong playmaker in the paint using good footwork and body control to score at the rim and make the right pass. Davion looked like a high-level college player being involved with the majority of the team's offense when elimination is on the line. Thompson finished with 18 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545146' first='Matthew' last='Zobrist'] (Metamora) 2025

The Bradley commit was having an awesome tournament heading into tonight's game. Matthew didn't waste time in the first half hitting some deep shots from three. Once the Raiders figured they needed to guard him a little bit closer. Zobrist started to work inside the arc. His go-to move was a turnaround fadeaway that he went to several times as the defensive pressure picked up. Matthew did his best to keep the Redbirds close until time ran out. He led all scorers with 25 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook) 2028

The freshman had some big moments in the game. Brady had played with a ton of confidence in his first-holiday tournament. His ability to win off the bounce with one guy to beat was a sight to see. He has a good pace to his game and like Thompson showcases a good feel by the basket. His crowning moment was a fastbreak dunk that got the Bolingbrook crowd out of their seats. He finished with 10 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576619' first='Jonah' last='Funk'] (Metamora) 2025

The 6'9 big man didn't have a huge night scoring but he was instrumental at being a rim protector and glass cleaner. Funk scored 10 points, pulled in 8 rebounds, and also had 2 blocks in a heartbreaking loss.

Jeremy McCullum (Bolingbrook) 2025

The athletic wing made some pretty big buckets while Bolingbrook made their run. Jeremy scored most of his points under the radar as Thompson and the Pettigrew's got most of the attention. He also scored 10 points for the Raiders.

Fenwick 50 Lake Zurich 37

[player_tooltip player_id='2724288' first='Nathaniel' last='Marshall'] (Fenwick) 2025

Marshall (Michigan football commit) was the biggest bright spot in what felt like a football game. The 6'5 forward hit some big shots with the shot clock winding down, in what was a close game. The two threes helped the Friars stretch their lead over Lake Zurich. The team's smothering defense held the lead around 15 points for most of the second half. Marshall is a strong player who can finish multiple ways at the rim. He was the lone double-digit scorer for Fenwick with 22 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522682' first='Kain' last='Kretschmar'] (Lake Zurich) 2026

The 6'4 guard was the only player to make multiple threes for his team. The game was played hard on both sides and Kain was able to get space to get his shots off. He's a tough wing who played hard on defense as well forcing several turnovers. Kretschmar finished with 14 points in the loss.
