Here is the first South Central Preview!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Conference Commentary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top League Contenders</strong>: LCWM, Le Sueuer-Henderson, Maple River</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>You could likely put LCWM in both top contenders and rebuilding because they are replacing five starters and some reserves. But at the same time, they have some good young talent coming up from teams that had great records plus reserves returning, so they will be a contender. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Le Sueuer-Henderson is a big small school team. They have good, experienced players that averaged between nine and thirteen points a game last year all returning at 6'7, 6'6 and 6'6. If [player_tooltip player_id='2452100' first='Kaden' last='Graff'] and company can have a solid backcourt year the Giants could be a very good team. Both the Giants and LCWM have very good young bigs in the sophomore class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like where things set up for Maple River. This is a team that has a couple all league guys with one being a wing scorer and another being a post double-double guy. The Eagles lost just two players from last year's 14-14 team and we think as a usually well coached bunch they are a slight favorite this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Compete with Most</strong>: St. Clair</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>St. Clair looks to be right in the middle of the New league. They were a game over .500 last year but they lost five of their top six players. That said, they have an all league player returning and a couple bench guys looking to have a bigger roles. It doesn't look like a very big team in a league where the top contenders have size, but St. Clair should be better than MVL and Sibley East who are starting fresh. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rebuilding: </strong>Minnesota Valley Lutheran, Sibley East</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MVL is a sure restart. They lost all but one player from last year's rotation. They were a good team at 22-6 but with so many new players it might take a bit to get comfortable. Sibley East is on another reset.
