They should be pushed hard by St. Croix Lutheran this year who likely comes into the year the favorite. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Conference Commentary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Ten Potential</strong>: Maranatha Christian, St. Croix Lutheran</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MCA lost their best three players but they return two starters and all their key reserves. MCA may not have the returning punch that one or two others do but they win consistently and they are well coached. They should be good this year and likely a top ten team next year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>St. Croix Lutheran will enter as the favorite. They split with MCA last year and this year's team will have five seniors that played big roles last year including the best player in the league in Marzetti.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Compete with Most</strong>: St. Agnes, Trinity, Concordia Academy, Nova Classical Academy</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>St. Agnes was 13-3 in the league a year ago but they lost four starters. They have their big guy back and reserves returning from a year ago. They might not be quite as good but still a solid team. Trinity was a .500 team last year and they should be even better returning two top scorers and several reserves. The Tri-Hawks should take a step forward. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I think Concordia Academy is going to take a big step forward. Nova Classical Academy lost all of their league games last year but they do return their top two scorers and they should take a step forward.
