Ranking the Sections: Class AAAA

<p>We rank the sections for Class AAAA. This is tough. You could pry make some arguments here and there but I think we got it right. </p>

<p>One. 2AAAA. I feel strongly about 2AAAA as the top section because barring injury, there will be no gimmies in this section. The one seed getting the bye will be huge for whomever earns it. Every team in this section has at least one player you would mention for All State this year. </p>

<p>Two. 5AAAA. I lean to 5AAAA as second because I think they will have more competitors at the top this year with Maple Grove and Champlin Park being stronger, and I think even those picked near the bottom are good programs that will be a tough out. </p>

<p>Three. 6AAAA. Hopkins and Wayzata carry a lot of weight and they are helped by St. Louis Park becoming a top ten caliber talent team. Edina and Armstrong are solid programs and if the Minneapolis schools were as strong as last year this would be one. </p>

<p>Four. 4AAAA. CDH is a power player, Tartan will have their best team in some time, and East Ridge is solid plus Central will be good. Not sure where the next set is though. If Stillwater takes a step this section will be higher.</p>

<p>Five. 1AAAA. Two of the Rochester schools lost a lot of guys plus New Prague is in rough shape graduating so many seniors and now their best player is hurt. The back end brings them down plus I don't know that 1AAAA has the top ten caliber teams they have had. Farmington is tough and North getting James Fager back was key. </p>

<p>Six. 8AAAA. Outside of Sauk Rapids-Rice there is nothing in that top 15 area but at the same time, a lot of solid teams here. Definitely ahead of the bottom two and an outside shot at maybe catching 1AAAA.</p>

<p>Seven. 7AAAA. I do feel there will be a really solid four teams here, maybe five, but pry not top teams and there are are also 2-3 teams that are going through quite a bit of change. I don't think this will be a section with most having losing records, I think there are good veteran groups. </p>

<p>Eight. 3AAAA. There has just been so much change with so many of these teams losing players to transfer, coaches changing, etc etc. At some point this league will get back to a solid spot but right now there are a lot of rebuilds going on so several teams have to grow. </p>
