Barnes has been a top notch defender since he stepped into high school. He's done nothing but build on that over the last few years. Barnes can play D in the open floor and can also get stops in the half court. He has the frame needed to body an opponent and get physical stops.

Walther's name belongs on this list. He's an engaged defender that plays angles and passing lanes very well. Walther just has some of that defensive playmaker in him. He eyes the ball and gets big steals and deflections.

Stevenson can be a force on the defensive end of the floor. Sometimes I don't know that he knows how good he can be on that end. He shows a ton of hustle and just wants the ball back when playing D. Stevenson is an energy defender that will be the first to hit the floor.

I love what McDowell brings to the table as a perimeter defender. He has fast feet and defend the length of the floor. McDowell can pressure the ball and force it out of the guards hands. Offense is never easy when you're staring at him on the other side.

Meltser is very underrated as a player, and especially as a defender. He has very quick and soft feet and has the ability to simply beat an opponent to a spot. It's very tough to find a lane on a player like Meltser that just beats you to it. He consistently picks up key stops on the defensive end.
