Conway Looks Good in Bear Jam:

The Conway HS Tigers will play in the new formed Beach Region of Class 5A this season. Head Coach Mike Hopkins will be able to rely on a trio of players in [player_tooltip player_id='1032756' first='Javion' last='Crawford'], [player_tooltip player_id='1824185' first='Jordan' last='Jenkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2637422' first='Trevon' last='Johnson'] this season. [player_tooltip player_id='2638727' first='Kayleb' last='McKinnon'] is a new name for the database this season for the Vikings. [player_tooltip player_id='2575504' first='Avery' last='Brantley'] will round this starting 5 for the Tigers.

Crawford a power forward finally started to show some glimpses of his play from a few seasons ago. Javion keeps the ball up high after claiming it off the glass and was able to rebound on both ends of the court. He filled the lane in transition and finished around the bucket. Crawford needs to keep his motor going at all times and play to his fullest for the next level.

Jenkins just finished the football season for the Tigers. Jordan really likes to stalk the baseline with ultra-athleticism. He brings good energy to the floor with his ability to pick up deflections and steals in the passing lanes. He really likes to get out in transition whenever possible. Jenkins will certainly be one of the top juniors down on the coast this season.

Johnson is a shifty point guard who keeps the ball low to the deck for the Tigers. Trevon has a quick set of hands to cause some havoc and chaos on the defensive end of the floor. He will himself into the paint and gaps all night long if given the opportunity. Johnson makes this Tigers team go.

McKinnon was a new name to see this season for the Tigers. He really brought the energy and always seemed to be around the ball to make a play here today. Kayleb played extremely unselfish and did what the team needed to do. He provided good minutes and production while on the hardwood.

The Lancers lost a close one to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee this weekend at the Helen's Hot Chicken Classic 60-57. Prep Hoops did find a few names to add to the database in Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2638693' first='Isaiah' last='Worley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2638694' first='Jacob' last='Siuta']. Worley a left-handed guard-wing started off his career in the Hoop State. He finished with 25 points here today with a wide variety of mid-range jumpers and a few three pointers. Isaiah was able to slash to the cup and create his own shot when needed today.

[player_tooltip player_id='1423863' first='Zeke' last='Marshall'] left Westside HS this past summer to transfer to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee in Georgia. He recently helped the Eagles win the State Football Championship. Zeke finished with 22 points in the game vs Legion Collegiate Academy. He connected on buckets from all 3 levels on the floor. Zeke played aggressive on both ends of the court and really liked to play with the ball in his hands. Marshall reclassified into the 2026 class when he left late in the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2615536' first='Roldjudson' last='Lacossade'] plays the game SO HARD when he's on the floor. Nicknamed RJ Lacossade really plays the game without a true position. Just make sure he's on the floor because he constantly brings production on both ends of the court. RJ is so productive when it comes to taking a charge, grabbing a rebound on both ends of the court, bringing the rock up the floor and finishing around the bucket.

RJ scores a lot of his buckets around and going to the bucket. He plays RELENTLESS and never seems to leave the floor. Lacossade originally from Turks and Caicos started off his career at Vanguard in Lake Wales, FL. He ran this summer with Team Swish on the Grassroots Circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638695' first='Damjan' last='Spasojevic'] is a new face for the Eagles this season. The center stands at 7-foot-0 comes from Serbia. Damjan moves well around the floor but really struggled to finish at the bucket here today. He has good length and footwork.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638696' first='Borjan' last='Kitanovski'] is a new name from Macedonia this season for the Eagles. Junior post player Rares Trandafir is currently back home recovering from an injury and will join the team in the future.
