Calvary Baptist boasts a wealth of talent, and their playing style often prioritizes team-oriented basketball over individual scoring outbursts. However, [player_tooltip player_id='2568324' first='Jaiden' last='Hall'] is a unique blend of the best qualities from two of last season's most impactful returnees. He possesses the calm demeanor and three-point shooting efficiency of Bubba Strong, combined with the exceptional skillset of nationally ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2316989' first='Tyrone' last='Jamison']. Additionally, Hall's facilitation skills evoke memories of last year's point guard, Rondae Hill. Hall is incredibly athletic, and his play is often jaw-dropping not just on the offensive side but also defensively. As a standout player on a team filled with stars, he shines equally bright whether on or off the ball. The Louisiana Class of 2027 is loaded with talent, and Hall is a name that will gain more recognition as more people get to see him in action.

Brown stole the show with his impressive 24-point performance, leaving no doubt as to why he's ranked as the top Point Guard in the Class of 2025. He showcased his refined basketball skills, demonstrating to the entire gym why he's a standout player. Brown is one of the smartest players you'll see on the court, with a deep understanding of the game. Against Bossier, he took on a heavy scoring load, but he also excelled on the defensive end and effectively facilitated the offense. Regardless of the gym, state, or level of competition, this young player is a proven scorer and a difference-maker. If college coaches are looking for a guard who can elevate a program or provide strong leadership, they need to keep Brown on their radar. He was in complete control from start to finish, and it's clear that he has the skills and intangibles to excel at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532091' first='David' last='Thomas'] is quickly establishing himself as a premier shooter and playmaker on the Louisiana hoops scene. He possesses the height and wingspan that set him apart on the court. Thomas is one of those players who has a knack for being in the right place at the right time to make a play. As a young player, he has yet to fully develop physically, but his presence on the court is more robust than his slender frame suggests. Currently, his role is that of a sharp shooter and cleanup man, but as he ages and his game matures, he will surely become a key player for Bossier High School, which has a reputation for developing some of the toughest players in the city. Few freshmen can handle the pressure of stepping onto the court, but Thomas appears ready for the challenge. The bottom line is that despite his youth, Thomas is a formidable shooter with a reliable three-point shot, and if he is not properly boxed out, he will capitalize on rebounding opportunities and finish plays with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561807' first='Marcus' last='Lofton'] is one of those rare players who can do it all on the court, and he's a supreme game manager. As the floor general for Captain Shreve, one of the toughest teams in the state, Lofton has a commanding presence. He boasts a superior handle, which allows him to excel in multiple facets of the game. Lofton can shoot the mid-range shot with ease, and he's also an excellent three-point shooter. Additionally, he possesses the moves to shift defenders and maneuver in the lane, creating easy scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. It's hard to pinpoint a flaw in his game, as he performs at an elite level in every aspect. Defensively, Lofton can frustrate opposing guards and create turnovers, all while directing traffic for his team. He's a college-level guard who is sure to play at the next level.

As a sophomore tasked with leading a team with championship aspirations, outsiders might assume there would be a significant learning curve. However, Edmond proved to be an exception, as he maintained his composure against a gritty Captain Shreve squad. He effectively managed the game, minimized turnovers, and consistently found his teammates in scoring position. Defensively, he stood tall against one of the state's most elusive guards, never looking overwhelmed. Since the summer, Edmond's rankings have surged, and his game has kept pace with his growth. He could have easily been a key contributor at another school last season, but with Zachary's deep roster, he patiently waited his turn. For those who haven't seen Edmond play, be aware: he is a true hooper. He possesses a short memory, rarely repeating mistakes, and can drive downhill with ease while showcasing precision mid-range shooting. As he gains confidence in his three-point shot, he will continue to climb the rankings.
