The 11th annual Myrtle Chaffin Classic took place this past weekend at Mt. Zion Academy, the unofficial start to the season for prep and independent teams from all over. This year's event featured teams from NJ, PA, MD, VA, GA and CA, with tons of talent from all over taking place.

The Commonwealth Basketball Group (CBG) has put together an All Tournament team, with players from all the teams being represented. Here's a look at the players selected from teams in PA and NJ.

Cochran was named Most Outstanding Player of the Myrtle Chaffin by CBG and was named the Elite Prep League Player of the Week after leading Perkiomen with 28 points in their win over TSF and 25 points in their win over Highland School. The Santa Clara commit looks like he's in the best shape of his life, and that made him much more explosive off the bounce and as a finisher as well. Cochran showed his ability to work off the ball and hit shots from deep on the move, he worked well off catch and rips to get to the paint, he made good decisions and he made plays defensively too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2226450' first='Hayden' last='Johns'] | 6'5” WF | Perkiomen '25 | First Team

Johns is going to be the x-factor for this Perkiomen team this year, as he showed flashes last season being named Honorable Mention All EPL and his ability to create mismatches is going to be key for them. The 6'5” lefty is a strong and physical finisher in the paint, and he showed good athleticism as a finisher in transition too. He can score the ball in a variety of different ways, he uses fakes and counters very well and he can play and guard multiple positions for them as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1865300' first='Gabe' last='Tanner'] | 6'4” CG | Perkiomen '25 | Second Team

Tanner has been a starter for Perkiomen since he transferred there his sophomore season, and the FGCU commit showed a different side to him this past weekend as he was their primary ball handler and facilitator running the show very well. He showed great vision and delivered crisp, on point passes to cutters and shooters, while also being a scoring threat himself. He's a very good shooter from deep with great form, he's a big and athletic guard who is dynamic in transition and he's growing into a leadership role in a lot of different ways too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638068' first='Keenan' last='Gray'] | 6'0” CG | Covenant Prep '25 | Second Team

Gray was flat out fantastic for Covenant despite them being a little outmatched in their games, but he showed he's an available combo guard that coaches should keep an eye out for. The Georgia native is an athletic and strong lefty who plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor, and is a player that puts constant pressure on the defense with his north-south speed. He attacked the rim aggressively and showed explosive above the rim finishing ability, he made shots from multiple levels and he was very good on the defensive end too.

Nick Oliver | 6'5” CG | Rocktop Academy '25 | Second Team

Oliver is another Georgia native that came up north for a post grad year, and while Rocktop was a little overmatched as well he put up consistent big numbers in their two games. The 6'5” guard has great positional size and is a good athlete, which makes him a tough matchup when you couple it with his ability to score in a number of ways. He made shots from deep and in the midrange consistently, he attacked the rim hard and finished through traffic and he was very good drawing contact and getting to the line as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601169' first='Onyx' last='Nnani'] | 6'8” PF | Phelps National '25 | Honorable Mention

[player_tooltip player_id='1601169' first='Onyx' last='Nnani'] (2025).

Nnani will need to step into a bigger role this year with Phelps after the departure of five star [player_tooltip player_id='1865248' first='Will' last='Riley'] who led the team last year, and he showed flashes of being able to do it in their close loss to PGCA. The Arkansas State commit is a tough matchup at 6'8” as he is a point forward who has good ball skills and can be a threat in the paint as well. He's a big time athlete who can get out in transition both handling it and running the wing, he can draw out big men and take them off the bounce, he can knock down open shots and he can play and guard multiple positions too.

Tamarr Brown | 7'0” C | Rocktop Academy '25 | Honorable Mention

Brown is one of the most high upside available big men you'll find on the east coast, as he's shown a lot of growth and is developing along a solid trajectory over the past few years. The 7'0” big man is a paint clogger and a good rim protector, deterring driving guards and making it hard to create shots at the rim. He is a solid athlete who can get up and down and plays above the rim, he has good touch out to 18 feet and when he plays hard he's an effective two way big man who impacts the game in a lot of ways.
