2026 Stock Risers: Guards

Each of these players played well consistently in the preseason. In my opinion, they are all a bit high in the rankings at the moment and they'll be bumped up in the 2026 rankings when they are updated.    Denson caught my eye with his speed during the Fall Varsity League. He has the ability to blow by right by his defender, and can make contested lay-ups thanks to his vertical. He also plays at a high speed on defense and applies good ball pressure. I expect him to be a play-maker for Mojave this season on both ends of the court.     Price will look to be one of Faith Lutheran's leading scorers this year. He often makes crafty moves around the rim and connects on tough shots. But he also has good court vision and can find an open teammate on the block or in the corner. As a defender, he uses his wingspan to disrupt his opponent's shooting stroke.     Iverson can hit 3's at a high clip, but is also capable of scoring off the dribble. When he gets going, he can fill it up in a short matter of time. On defense, he uses his length to come up with rebounds and steals.     Toms is an athletic, high IQ guard who seems to know where to be court in order to make plays for his team. He stays active on offense, and consistently moves off ball to get open. His athleticism allows him to make difficult lay-ups and he's capable of throwing down a dunk as well. When it comes to his defense, he has good anticipation skills and does a good job playing the passing lanes.     Durrough played well throughout the preseason. On offense, he can barrel right through his opponents if he's driving to the rim. Or he can make shots from the perimeter. On defense, he battles every possession and often racks up steals. Overall, he's a pretty complete player who definitely deserves a big bump up.
