Jamison took very little time knocking the rust off during his three contests Tuesday. He looked to be in mid-season form handling the ball in transition and driving to the rim. Tyrone was very good at penetrating and finding shooters on the perimeter. He was under control and balanced when doing so. Jamison also took advantage of player playing him to drive. He displayed great elevation and nailed open pull up threes several times. TJ played like a high level player on Tuesday.

Baylor-Nard has physically matured from his freshman to sophomore season and it showed on Tuesday. He had an easier time probing the lane and getting his shot off or finding perimeter shooters. When it came to his own shooting, he made open three pointers from reversals or when he received kick outs. His play took pressure off other guards and showed that Evangel has another point who can handle floor general duties.

Lofton is the primary ball-handler for the Gators and he displayed why he is on Tuesday night. Marcus is as steady as they come and had no problem handling pressure or getting Shreve into their sets. Lofton also displayed that he is very capable of getting his shot off against taller defenders. He is a high IQ point who sees the game well and showed it.

Richardson had a very good night at Calvary. While he is a smaller guard, he plays with a ton of grit and determination. Richardson can also shoot the cover off the ball when he gets going. He is one of the better defenders in the area as well. Richardson's ability to stretch the defense and defend will be an asset to the Gators this coming season.

The Knights' Jaiden White is a guard who can truly do everything on the floor. On Tuesday night, he gave other teams a glimpse of what they will see this season. White used his strength to get into the lane and shoot over smaller guards. He can rebound on the offensive boards and he can defend up to four positions on the floor. His versatility was definitely one of the positives for Woodlawn Tuesday.

The SBOA will have another scrimmage next week with other NWLA teams. We will be there to highlight impressive players there as well. Basketball in NWLA should be very competitive this season and we will be there to cover it.
