Tuesday night Prep Hoops Illinois was in Carterville to check out the Pure Sweat Fall Showcase. This event featured many of the top prospects in southern Illinois. Here is Pure Sweat Fall Showcase: 2025 Top Performers!

[player_tooltip player_id='1838836' first='Jayden' last='McCoo'] (Mascoutah – 2025)

McCoo might have been the best player on the floor. The Mascoutah 6'2” combo guard was dynamic on both sides of the ball. He is one of the premier perimeter defenders in southern Illinois as a lock down guy that has active hands, moves his feet, and takes pride in playing on that end of the floor. In an up and down setting you could see him really take pride in locking in on that end creating turnovers and points for himself and others. Offensively his speed is his calling card. Such an explosive ball handler that flies coast to coast and is a blur with the ball blowing past defenders in the half court. Rebounds well for his position sneaking in on the offensive end. Passing feel was also shown driving and kicking to shooters along with quick dishes for finishes. One of the most under recruited all-around players in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766507' first='Mitchel' last='Edwards'] (Carmi – 2025)

Edwards is one of the better stretch four men remaining on the board in the 2025 class. The 6'7” power forward is a big time athlete that showed that off in numerous ways. Threw down a nasty dunk, blocked shots, got on the offensive glass, and runs the floor with ease. What makes him special is his shooting from the outside knocking down shots at a pretty consistent rate from three with a high arc on it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2389565' first='Riley' last=''] Bauersachs (Pinckneyville – 2025)

Bauersachs was excellent all night. From the drills to the games he was the best wing we saw at the camp. He continues to raise his stock each time we see him play. Possesses quality positional size at 6'5” with a flame thrower of a shot. He knocked them down at a high rate spotting up and pulling up from all over the floor. Whether it was off movement or with the ball in his hand. He has a free and easy release that was straight money all evening. In the first game he drained four triples alone. More than just a shooter he has good passing instincts working around ball screens throwing pick/roll dimes. Can deck it getting to the rim when he needs too for scores or soft touch finishes. Complete wing that had a dominant night!

[player_tooltip player_id='2383264' first='Matthew' last='Smith'] (Mascoutah – 2025)

Smith is a bouncy 6'7” post that runs the floor hard, finishes lobs, and can stretch with his shooting. Versatile player that can play inside and out on the offensive end. Liked how well he rebounded in his area on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='1548328' first='Chandler' last='Mueller'] (Trenton Wesclin – 2025)

Mueller is a tough as nails shot maker that is one of the premier three point marksmen from southern Illinois. He is a 6'1” two guard that bombs them in with such a picture perfect release getting it off very quickly. Makes shots off movement and really competes at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105204' first='Aidan' last='Anderson'] (Okawville - 2025)

Anderson is a 6'10” five man that is a true back to the basket center. He seals well for slams, nice hook shots, and rebounds well in his area. Legit size and solid mobility around the basket. Can impact as a rim protector as well on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387585' first='Hunter' last='Webb'] (Vienna – 2025)

The 6'2” shooting guard is a high level glue guy that does a little bit of everything. He knocked in threes, creative finishes around the hoop, and was active on the defensive end getting steals along with blocking a perimeter shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2631987' first='Connor' last='Craig'] (Goreville – 2025)

Craig is a 6'3” shooting guard that presents quality size on the perimeter. Scored in the paint in a variety of ways. Spinning layups, hook shots, jump stops for layups, and other crafty buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766503' first='Ethan' last='Simmons'] (Marion – 2025)

Simmons is a 6'5” wing from Marion that has good size and showed flashes on the defensive end with the way he got after it on the perimeter even blocking a shot. Flashed as a shooter with a nice looking three point shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2083734' first='Coryion' last='Keene'] (Carbondale – 2025)

Strong and physical 6'2” small forward that is a good rebounder, physical defender, and solid overall glue guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598659' first='Brady' last='Conway'] (Pinckneyville – 2025)

Conway caught our attention in his second game as a 5'10” floor general that made several quick dishes on the move, was active on the defensive end, and converted scoop shots at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383636' first='Jacob' last='Waters'] (Vienna – 2025)

Waters has emerged over the last year as a really nice small college prospect as a 6'3” shooting guard that brings nice size and scoring ability to the table. On this night it was his scoring round the rim and competitiveness that caught our attention.
